Perfect defense is the best offense

The moment I said he could come whenever he's ready he breathed very deeply and concentrated seeing how I won against Norja I guess he's not talking me lightly and he's trying to focus and give it his best. Then he took a relaxed position holding his bolo and swaying is arm left and right. I assume that was his ready stance, he wasn't attacking looks like he wants me to engage first like Norja did. I took a stepped away from whole that I made and also took a ready position unlike Ales where he moves a lot I just positioned my shield infront of me and held the spear on my right hand. He expects me to come but I didn't which he thought I would do I could see his face not liking the fact that I didn't bait into it, who in the world would engage first using a shield but just as I did to Norja I provoked him into engaging first I point him my spear and made a pose to come at me holding my spear and my shield on stretching on both side. It was a declaration that I wont engage until he does and surprisingly it worked I can see on his face is a look of a displeased expression. He walked not ran while approaching me I guess he's learning from his past mistake he doesn't want to get exhausted early by doing unnecessary movement. The moment he walked slowly infront of me I engaged him first and saw a his surprised face I didn't wait till he was near me. In the end all he got is speed and not much experience I can tell, I was not an expert at fighting living as Tristan but I could easily read his emotions he's such an open book. While I was nearing to approach him I thrusted my spear and he dodged it .

He was agile and fast to react as expected , then I immediately pulled back my spear and covered myself using the shield , I was expecting a counter but he didn't swing his sword. Does he really think of conserving all his stamina ? I mean that was my first strike and that was an open oppurtunity that I made to analyze how would he react but he didn't even react he just cant ? Either way I continued to engage him , he can keep dodging but the time to use the shield efficiently. He hasn't throwed even one strike yet so I used the shield I hid my weapon behind cover all my front the plan is to strike where he doesn't know. He cant dodge if he doesn't know where or when will I strike, I then used that fighting style , he looked troubled and that clouded his decision and confussion was all over his face I used that time to strike I moved my shield a bit and thrusted my spear of course he couldn't react in time so he blocked using sword after that he parried my attack to the side finally decided to swing his sword at me it was packing strength but I just blocked it using my shield.

He finally started to engage now is the time to use that move , while he was about to swing I cut off his attack by bashing his strike half way , I was pretty much fighting him point back I cut off his attack many times and all he could do was step back everytime I cut his attack and I pushed him where I want . The whole I dug up earlier which was slighty not aligned to the ground that would ruin his balance. On all of the confusion he lost his focus and didn't saw his sorrounding which resulted to his defeat I cut off his attack one last time and he stepped back and got outbalanced his body was bent backwards and his other hand was on the ground I didn't much skills to win , after he got tripped I pointed my spear on his neck and I won.

"I won , you did great in the beginning . You understood that you have so little stamina so you limited your movements but you focused to much on conserving your stamina."

"Impossible , you just defeated me by luck if I didn't tripped I would've won."

"Thats why you lost you, you forgot about everything else and focused on yourself and forgot about your surroundings, I pushed you there intentionally so you would be tripped and unbalanced. "

"Do you not have a respect when fight you kept using dirty tricks."

"Ha---? No matter what you say , you remembered what you said before we fought didn't you you will anything I say?"

"I dont break my words so what do you want me to do ?"

"I want you to listen and believe me."

"Is that the only thing that you want ? You just want me to listen and believe you --- HAHAHAHAHA !"

"The usual would say go under me or obey me or make him someone kill him."

"No why would I want you to kill some ? I want to tell you about myself."

"Its more like I won more than you did. So what is it are you really my brother ?"

"Technically yes I am but the person inside is different, I'm sure your brothers conciousness died along with him after what happened."

No wonder you didn't act like him I noticed it already since you acted weird from the start, Asterio didn't talked to me for a long time since father died then the first thing you did after waking up from a week without conciousness was asking me so I thought that was weird if you are not my brother then who are you ?"

"I am someone not from this Era , I was born more later than you are in other words you are my ancestors. "

"Then that makes you our family ?"

"Yes you can say it was something like that."

"If what you said earlier was true about Asterio being dead, I am terribly agonized by it but the fact that you are there to live his life I would treat you as my real brother since you even said we are your ancestors meaning we are still connected by our bond. "
