Three days after the meteor was broken by Saitama, I was sleeping. Well I was awake now, but I just woke up.
I had already checked if my Hero ranking changed from helping with the meteor, but it barely changed. I went from 207 to 51, which wasn't nearly as much as Saitama's sudden rise.
He had gone all the way from 342 to 5, it was crazy.
I guess he had destroyed the meteor, I was honestly quite lucky to even have my ranking raised as much as it was.
I assume Bang put in a good word on my efforts, but they probably think that Genos and Metal Knight contributed more, as they were both Class S heroes, and they each moved up a spot, as opposed to my C Class status.
As for today, I was going to...
Sleep more.
I have been having some lazy days lately, and I will be doing nothing until the quota resets.
Maybe screwing around with my powers a little, but that would be it.
In fact, I only got out of bed at around 6:00pm today. I was looking at a few forum posts that had caught my attention, there were a few about both me and Saitama, mostly just slander. One was about Saitama destroying the city somehow.
Where did they get that thought process? They would be dead if he didn't destroy that meteor, and now they're saying it's bad that he did? A confusing place the internet is.
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they can't think straight because they lost their homes.
I heard Saitama and Genos arrive at the steps up to the apartment. I don't know when they left, but they are back now.
"Genos, you go back, I am gonna talk to Fukui for a bit." I heard a muffled Saitama.
"Yes?" Genos responded a little confused.
"Just go back." Saitama waved him off and I heard Genos' footsteps retreat to their own apartment.
Out of all the free rooms, Genos decided to live with Saitama. I still can't quite get over that.
Saitama knocked on my door and I dragged myself off of my futon.
I hadn't really woken up so I was in a loose tank top and shorts, with my hair all in a mess.
It curls up if I don't brush it, so my hair looks like a mess of shapes. Not that I minded all that much, I have lived most of my life not caring about opinions, it's why I didn't care about the few bits of slander about me on the internet.
I opened the door and I could see a rather grumpy look on Saitama's face.
"I have come to complain!" He announced before walking with exaggeration into my living room.
"Complain to Genos." I deadpanned.
"He just accepts my complaints and doesn't put any of his own input in."
"You mean he's a yes-man." I poured coffee for myself and kept adding sugar and cream to the point where Saitama gave me a weird look.
Or maybe that was because I was drinking coffee at... 7:00pm now.
"Ya... that's the word I was looking for." He shook off my weird coffee thing.
Or I thought he did.
"Why don't you just get caffeinated drinks?"
"I don't like bubbles and energy drinks are bad for you." The bags under my eyes seemed to get deeper as I drank my coffee.
"And whatever that is isn't?"
I glared at him for a moment before staring at my coffee cup.
"Just complain about what you want to complain about."
Following that, Saitama explained to me his experiences in town today. I laughed at the dumb, cringey shit those guys in tank-tops said.
My opinion of Tank-Top Master also dropped slightly, as hero's in tank-tops are usually in his little gang.
He should rein in his troops.
"Can't believe those guys believed anything those two jackasses in tank-tops said!" I laughed again.
It was really funny that people could be that stupid. I hope I didn't run into a similar situation, as my temper isn't nearly as good as Saitama's. I probably would have tried to rip someone's head off for real.
The story wasn't that long but I could see that Saitama was visibly refreshed now that he got all that off his chest properly.
I would be a pretty cool therapist. Not that I have any sort of credentials or skills to be able to do that, but I sure would be cool.
"You wanna help mess around with my powers?"
"Eh? Sure." Saitama agreed nearly immediately.
My head flopped against the ground and bounced back up immediately. I had managed to access my powers much faster than before.
"Alright what do we got?" I asked Saitama.
Despite his rather lackluster life, or maybe because of it, his imagination was much better than mine.
"Hmm. Can you increase gravity?" He asked first.
"I think we would want to test that outside, I kind of like my floors."
"Then can you make gravity lighter? Like the moon?"
"I can try, but I am gonna contain the space it affects so that Genos doesn't all of a sudden start floating. Also because if I make the space too big it'll hurt my head."
"Sure."
From then on for the next couple of hours, me and Saitama messed around with my powers. We stayed on the safe side, but I still ended up with a hole in my wall.
We both decided it was fine since Genos is rather good at construction work for some reason.
He had fixed the road out front several times already.
Today was good, let's just hope the rest of the week goes that well.

A/N: Shorter than normal chapter because I wanted to ease into deep sea.
Also I didn't wanna think too much.
