At the right corner of the rowdy large taproom stood a bull sized bartender--more like a brown-furry bull in person with a large black paired horn upon its top forehead that curved so high it almost touching the roof above and a large golden nose ring affixed to his snout on such frenzy face concentered in mixing his liquors in a small glassy container in his large hands on a large wooden table roundabout him with no beings present there.
He then looked ahead slightly lowering his brown eyes down to a certain height, Wren's only plausible face and hands were seen placed right on the large wooden table as the young girl spookily watched in awe through what he was doing.
The bartender got mystified for she appeared out of no where. Then the bull sized bartender looked sideways at everyone drinking and chattering, thinking who among them left their minor here again?! He shook his head knowing he severely warned, never to permanently abandon such little creatures here of all places.
Wren looked straight to his brown eyes with her face raised.
"Hey, mixologist?"
His eyes slightly widened as he softly spoke. "It talks…"
"Give me this…" She pointed at the small glassy container on the bartender's large hand, "… or one of your strongest drinks here." She pointed at the liquors behind the bartender.
The bull sized bartender squinted his eyes for a second with a thought. This little thing actually--Well, who cares.
He shrugged his large muscled-furry shoulders, turned take a few line up of bottles of liquors placed on the large shelves behind him dropped a few drops inside the small glassy container in his hand, it then fizzes up as various colors glowed within the glassy container then it became settled and colorless.
He stared at what was in his hand with a blink even him was afraid of what would happened if liquored up as it was then he looked to the princess's blazing eyes.
"Are you sure?..."
Wren didn't say a word but stretched her hand, the bartender sighed moved his hand to the princess.
"… Enjoy."
"But, I want it cold." Wren mentioned slowly pushed his hand back.
"Alright…" The bartender put three ice cubes inside, collected beneath the large wooden table.
"Put more, make it thirteen," The princess commanded still staring right in the bartender's brown eyes, "thirteen ice cubes…"
The bartender nodded accordingly as he did what he was told then he looked at Wren.
"Anything again, boy—I mean young man?" he stretched the small glassy container yet again to her.
Wren shook her head about collecting with the biggest grin anyone could ever seen her yet, suddenly, someone's hand gripped onto it, slipped it from the bartender's hand. Wren blinked then turned, it was but unsurprisingly, Skylark who stared at it for while then took it in a single slurp.
He cleaned his mouth as Wren coldly watched, a whiff of cold air immediately vanquished the large taproom as every being there briefly felt it.
Skylark turned his sweating squeezed face away while hitting his chest as he wobbly said. "I-it's surprisingly… bitter, you know."
The bartender nodded affirmatively as he casted his brown eyes at Wren. Thank goodness, the boy didn't drink it. Even I, am afraid of what will happen after drinking such mixture however…
He inspected Skylark behind the boy for a while. I'm curious what will be the aftermath?...
"Have you heard the latest at the underground fight club last night." Two scarred passers-by spoke to each other.
"Not really. I was with my woman all night." another said near him.
They both stopped. One looked over to the bartender.
"Big-TEE, the usual." They both walked up to the bartender.
Big-TEE, the name of the leading bull sized bartender nodded as he turned to his shelves behind side picking some liquors.
"You see here, twin bro." They both reached the other side of the large wooden table. "The dominating large lady has been declared the reigning champion right after one-sidedly beating the former champion Seomun Yeop , down to winning all matches consecutively without breaking a sweat in a single night."
"Wow. In a single night? Is she that strong?"
"My guy, she's stronger than you can imagine. Rumor says, she's from the Aurora clan and one of the Royal Guards of this kingdom even the appointed right hand to the princess."
"… Lies...!" Skylark drunkenly intruded at the other side of the large wooden table while Wren was still glaring at him as her feet froze the floor unnoticed while Big-TEE squinted— as the drink took effect, already?
Skylark was obviously now three sheets to the wind.
The twins both watched then continued their conversations not minding the 'wino'.
Skylark drunkenly turned to Big-TEE stabbing his fingers on the wooden table.
"…S-someone like her can't be the right hand of the—He hiccupped, he was about to throw up then he stopped himself from doing so then he gazed back at Big-TEE.
"--well, I'm excited to see her fight tonight." He turned to Wren and the twins. "L-let's bet on her to lose." Skylark, out of no where brought a small sack of diamonds from his cloak, slammed it on the large wooden table. Big-TEE raised a brow as Wren groaned.
"T-this is all my life savings, I'm all in for her first loss tonight, who is with me!"
"Yeah, yeah. As if that will be possible." One of the men stated as Big-TEE mildly served them both, "thanks," they both walked away about sipping their liquors.
Wren walked up to them and tapped them from behind, they both stopped mid way.
"Should I tag alone?" Wren questioned.
They had an awful glower on their faces as they knew it was the little boy standing with the drunken winged man at Big-TEE's table.
"To where? And who can you be? Get lost, go back to your guardian or are you also drunk?"
Wren squeezed her fist as her lips tightened.
Skylark drunkenly zoomed in between Wren and the twins as lemon feathers wobbled over them then he hiccupped.
"S-sorry about that." He looked at both men as one irritatingly removed a feather from his drink. "What's done in the underground fight club remains in the underground fight club. This is for your own safety."
"Ugh… What is these shit-head saying?..." One of the men angrily spoke.
"Are you looking for the underground fight club?" Big-TEE inquired from his large wooden table while cleaning a liquor bottle with a small rag, Wren and Skylark turned to him.
He raised his face to Wren, "actually you are standing in the midst of it. Go settle down it will start soon."
Suddenly, a snap of finger was loudly heard. Playing instruments appeared above, all the glowing crystals settled like a spotlight on a boy with a gorgeous hairdo and the whitest teeth that flickers while he grinned then the boy snapped his fingers again as the arranged wooden chairs and tables around disappeared, the centered floor swiftly descended down, Wren, Skylark and every other beings at the middle of the taproom also teleported out to their various seats on the walking steps surrounding the large taproom then large guard rails appeared round about the whole place giving it a new look while the centered ground fully descended, the ground below transformed, mixed with blood and sand with locked wooden doors roundabout the field.
This only was the beginning of enticement to the spectators.
The grinning face at the middle of the field spoke loudly, raising his hands upward, breathing heavily as he poured out his words.
"It is I, Jangnap, the main character of the story and your famous regular host of this very and special blood fight tonight."
He announced as he took a few steps around the field.
"Yeah, we all know this very event is the best in the whole wide world!... recently, we had an amazing orphaned fighter who join us late last night in this very place as a newbie to all the rules here but right as I speak. She as clearly knocked out every reigning champions we gave her. Well, I can't say that was enough, however she is the very calling, who you all notorious beings had been waiting for to recruit and sadly she declined every offer whether big or small but one thing, she'd say that gave me pride and joy was anyone who could defeat her on a one on one battle to the death, not that it was exaggerated. The winner will have her! Like falling off a log—aaaaannnnndddddd hhhhheeeerrrrrrrreeeee comes the Red Viper! The Conqueror of all, The Orphaned berserker, Goddess of war and strength, The Undefeated and Undisputed champion--LADY LUNA!
Skylark sprung up from his seat astonished as he hiccupped.
"You got to be kidding that really is… Luna." Then he staggered, as he held his head. "What was in the drink? I'm gradually feeling numb allover."
"Hey, seat your butt down, feather brain! Your wings are blocking our view!" Many of the spectators yelled behind.
Skylark sat back immediately, apologizing.
Wren observed her surroundings as the spectators roared in joy. Wow, no wonder none of them haven't been caught yet, with a single snap of that idiot's fingers all evidences and witnesses would disappear. She suspected as she looked over to Luna down below as shaded Luna stood gallantly behind the slightly opened wooden door for she earlier came out of after she was called upon, her face lowered in the most inexpressive way one could never near while giving off strange vibes.
"Well I'm jumping in," Wren noted as she stood, climbing up the guard rails.
"Yeah. Jump in—what?!" Skylark turned to her, horrified. "Wait-- my pri—" Skylark body suddenly felt weakened in a drunken state as his wings also, he stumbled and fell to the ground with his face first.
Beings around him shook their head.
"Tch! That man is definitely wasted."
Wren dropped into the field with a smirk.
Jangnap turned to where Wren landed.
"Woooo. And who can this be, the first challenger or are you just a fan to make her sign an autograph? Remember the last person who did is still receiving healing as we speak."
"You! The weirdo, I saw at the front gate many days ago!" Wren face contorted, pointing at confused Jangnap. "I remember your annoying face, after I'm done with her, you will be next!"
Jangnap blinked, thinking have they ever met before?
The princess looked around.
"I, the bubbles princess—"
The whole place erupted in laughter.
"What?!... Bubbles-gwa ha ha ha…"
"So funny…"
"A princess? You should've cosplayed as one-ha ha ha…"
Wren ignored. "I, the bubbles princess, challenge the champion until one of us accept her own defeat."
"A boy calling himself the bubbles princess--and I don't even know you." Jangnap voiced then he suddenly grinned, "--Whether he is a fan of Lady Luna or the princess of the kingdom, we don't know but as it is, let's see how it goes. She's asking for a match to the death!" Jangnap glanced at Luna.
The spectators roared in joy more loudly.
Luna, I'm sorry for your loss, please come back? Everyone is worried, I'm worried. Wren whispered.
Luna remained where she stood only raised her hands side ways suddenly, two beings scurried to her with chained pick-axe then it was stretched to her, she tighten her hand on the weapons as she collected it while still lowering her face then she suddenly fixated at Wren with such killing intent!
Wren cracked. "Wow, look at those eyes of yours, Luna and a great choice of weapon."
She walked a distance towards Luna then stopped. "Luna, I guess talking this out won't solve this."
Wren raised her fists. "Yeah, let's end this with our lives on the line, I too only came here for that very choice."
She was about charging at her, suddenly felt many thudding of the ground behind. Wren dropped her hand, rolled her eyes to where the sounds were coming from.
"Woooo!" Jangnap purred while at the center of the field. "More and more brawlers are jumping in. Looks like it's going to be a ignoble rumble. This is exciting you could feel the crowd's roars shaking the whole kingdom from the walls down to its root. Will this plan tire The Lady in charge before it goes down to the final fight of two, or can such a plan be an easy ride for her--Let's find out tonight. It's sure a marvelous night--Then, let the Ignoble Rumble Begin!"
Wren's one eye squinted, her jaw pushed forward as the blue fabrics on her arm lightly fluttered.
"Why I'm going this far?"
She approached Luna then stood face to face with the huge lady in livid tights unmoved.
The princess raised her face feasting her blazing blue eyes at Luna's grey eyes.
"A true friend accepts who you are, but also helps you become who you should be."
