WAKE UP

"Shea, wake up. Its been three hours since you have been passed out." Shea woke up hearing a shrill voice penetrating through her brain.

Shea slowly opened her eyes trying to adjust the bright yellow light hitting her face. The face which welcomed her was the worried face of Mrs.Sung who stood there holding a package. Shea sat up rubbing her head to kill the headache and somehow she couldnt even remember how she passed out.

"Child, you just scared me. Whats with you now?" Mrs.Sung asked sitting down next to her in the bed.

"How did i reach here?" Shea asked looking around.

"You flied to this bed."

"What?" Shea gave a confused look.

"Ofcourse, I picked you up. When I came from the bakery I saw you by the kitchen counter. I tried to wake you up but there was no hope so had to do this."

"I-I am sorry for the trouble."

"How long have it been since you took some blood?" Mrs.Sung asked picking up a glass from the night stand.

"I had it only once when you gave me." Shea answered while leaning back to the bed head.

"You must have asked me child. You need to take blood once a day because I am just giving you a small portion just to survive a day."

"I didnt knew about it. You didnt tell me anything specifically."

"Are you a baby? Dont you know when your body gets weak?" Mrs.Sung gave a glass to Shea who hesitantly took it.

"Its a medicine I made. I guess it will help you for now. I will give you this everyday so its not gonna happen again. Take rest for now." She continued.

"Thankyou." Shea said gulping the liquid down in a mouth.

"I will get going. If you need something, dont hesitate to call me." the older woman said walking out closing the wooden door behind.

"Did I really pass out?" Shea sat there questioning herself.

She stood up walking to the mirror to see how horrible she looked. As pale as a lily with dark circles under her eyes with a messed up hair, blood shot eyes which can easily scare kids, collar bones being exposed like a old hag.

"I seriously have to get back to my self." she muttered to herself.

The thoughts about Tan seemed to be stuck in her somewhere which made her think that he will soon return to her even though it isnt easy.

Shea was sure that she wouldnt sleep even if she try, so decided to go for a walk. she jumped out from the window so that Mrs.Sung wouldnt know about it. Walking past the street she noticed that there wasnt any human life in a fair distance so she bolted at the speed of light into the jungle nearby.

In the process of indulging herself into the present, she forgot to check which day it was. The full moon night, the night which is the most dangerous for the Vampires as the wolves come out of their pack for hunting.

Shea ran into the forest not realizing the dangers which have been awaiting her. The forest was so dense that she couldnt see the moon through the high trees. She walked slowly towards the deep side to hunt for an animal because its been long since she did some hunting. Its not like that she wanted to have the blood but she didnt want her vampire skills to be forgotten. Being the member of a royal clan she had to have more powers than the normal vampires which somehow she didnt have due to lack of practice.

She was always compared to her older brother Daniel who happened to be one of the best vampire hunter of the clan. He had some sharp skills which he never let get blunted while Shea kept messing around like spoilt brat bringing bad name to her dad who was the leader of the Vampires. She have been sent to special school to learn new techniques as she was weak in studies and her dad didnt want to be shamed again about this. Shea have always envied Daniel as he kept on collecting good names and praises but even that didnt make her feel competitive as she didnt understand the need to fight humans.

Shea was brought up being told that humans are their worst enemies while wolves were just mere rivals who fight amongst vampires to survive in the human world. Shea never understand why it was that because none of the humans ever came to their areas to attack while her dad always got into their villages. Two hundred years were enough for her to understand how much she hated to be a vampire as all they did was killing and hunting both animals and humans and taking life for no use and destroying human villages.

Shea stopped when she felt that she have reached the deep side where she can peacefully hunt without any interferences. She stood with sharp eyes scanning the whole area to figure out the presence of any animal. She couldnt get any scent of blood which obviously made her scrunch her nose in annoyance. She bend down to cover herself behind the bushes while making her way to the northern side which is literally the middle of the jungle and for sure, the animals will be present in those areas and thats what she was taught by her father while going for hunting the past years when he trained her how to use her skills.

"There you are..." Shea muttered under her breath seeing a panther which was on the tree branch getting a peaceful sleep.

She remembers the last time she decided to hunt few days back and ended up getting attacked by wolves even though it wasnt full moon. She clearly hated the idea of getting involved with the wolves so thats why she reduced her hunting. Shea licked her lips feeling the heartbeat of the panther. The warm blood flowing through the animal hit her senses in the gentle breeze making her feel confused. It was so bold that she have ever seen an animal with such a blood scent.

"Am I literally losing my control this quick? I just had the blood granny gave me and she said I could survive with it for a day. Why am I becoming someone that I never wanted to be." Shea questioned her messed up self while looking to both her sides to make sure no one else is watching her.

Shea walked forward not making a noise focusing on the panther. Her sole focus was only on the animal in front of her and she even didnt see the bright moon light which fell on her as she moved to an open area. Shea got on position to climb up the tree in a jiffy but some thing stopped her.

A howl...
