Accusing each other

"I AM NOT LYING!!!! IT'S THE GENERAL WHO HAS KILLED JIANG YUYU. HE HAS KILLED HIS OWN DAUGHTER," Concubine Ming screamed. Her face had fully gone red and she was shaking from anger. Her eyes glared at the general as if she wanted to kill him and drink his blood. "INFACT, HE HAS NEVER LOVED YUYU. HE HATED HER!!! YES, HE HATED HER AND WANTED TO KILL HER."

Everyone was shocked. Silence filled the entire hall as everyone turned to look at Concubine Ming. They couldn't help but think about her words. Why was Concubine Ming accusing the general? Has she gone insane?

How can the general kill his own beloved daughter?

Jiang Yuyu is the apple of General Jiang's eyes. How could he not love her?

General Jiang sighed. He walked closer to Concubine Ming and he held her forearm. "Ran'er... you are in shock. I can understand that you are worried about Yuyu but you cannot speak such words against me."

"You know how much I love and care about Yuyu." he sighed. Looking at the maid behind her, he commanded, "Take Ran'er back to her room. She needs rest."

Concubine Ming trembled in his hold. "No! I am not going anywhere. I am not going anywhere. Jiang Youbin, you cannot-"

"Ran'er," General Jiang sighed. "You need rest. Go back to your room."

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? TAKE YOUR MISS BACK TO HER ROOM. NOW!!!" Jiang Youbin glared at the maid. The poor maid shivered in fear and jumped on her spot. Her face went pale and she begged for mercy. "Yes, yes, General Jiang," she stammered and began to pull Concubine Ming's hand.

"NO! I AM NOT LEAVING. I WANT TO SEE YUYU," Concubine Ming yelled. She struggled against the maid to free her hands. She was not ready to leave the hall. Seeing this, Concubine Qin couldn't help but sneer loudly. "Concubine Ming, what's wrong with you? Have you taken the wrong medicine? First, you dare to falsely accuse the General and now, you are acting like a crazy person?"

"Why are you putting on this fake show? You always hated the Second Miss. You never cared for her before. You were jealous of all the love General Jiang was showering onto the Second Miss. You always wanted the General to love your daughter more than the Second Miss," Concubine Qin mocked.

"Hah! Nobody here wants to see your crocodile tears. So, stop making a sense in front of everybody."

Concubine Ming wiped the tears on her face. "I am not making any scene, here. Concubine Qin, what you all had seen before was all -"

"ENOUGH!!!" General Jiang yelled. "STOP!!! BOTH OF YOU!!!"

"I DON'T KNOW HOW MY DAUGHTER IS. I DON'T WHETHER SHE IS EVEN ALIVE OR....." General Jiang paused. His face looked dead serious and he couldn't help but glare at both of his concubines. "And, here, instead of helping me to find Yuyu, you both are quarreling and accusing each other."

"But General, she dared to accuse you falsely," Concubine Qin pointed out.

General Jiang glared at her.

Immediately, Concubine Qin shivered and shut her mouth. Her mouth pouted and her eyes were filled with tears. If it was some other day, then maybe the General would have taken care of her and spoke a few nice words to her. However, today her coquettish actions were bound to fail. Ignoring her teary-eyed looks, General Jiang turned to look at the crying maid.

"WHY DID YUYU GO INTO THE MYSTICAL FOREST?" he questioned.

The maid trembled at his feet. "General..... general.... it was the Eldest Miss who enticed her to go into that forest," she blurted out.

General Jiang: "........"

Everyone: "........."

Silence filled the entire room. This time, the tension in the room was palpable. Everybody couldn't help but shiver at the dark aura oozing out from General Jiang. He looked so angry and mad. They felt as if they were standing at the battlefield and the General was holding his sword at their throat. It was so scary that cold sweats began to form on their backs. They turned to look at Jiang Muxun whose face had gone pale white.

"YOU DAMN MAID, WHY ARE YOU LYING?" Jiang Muxun glared at the maid. She couldn't help but clutch her handkerchief tightly. Her face turned white and few tears began to drop down her beautiful face. "Father, this maid is lying. I did not send Yuyu to that forest."

"N-no..." the maid cried. "General Jiang, p-please trust this humble servant. This servant is not lying to you."

"No, father, you have to trust me." Jiang Muxun cried. Her sobs began to fill the entire room. All the servants couldn't help but feel sad for her when they saw her crying face. Even Concubine Qin began to support her. "General, this maid must be lying. Why would the Eldest Miss send the Second Miss to the forest?"

"It must be this maid who is conspiring with the enemy against us," Concubine Qin accused.

"NO... This maid is extremely loyal to the Second Miss. Master, this maid is not lying," The maid cried hysterically. "This maid had indeed seen the Eldest Miss telling the Second Miss to go into that forest."

"YOU BOLD SERVANT!!! HOW DARE YOU SPEAK LIES AGAINST OUR ELDEST MISS!!!" One of the maids standing behind Jiang Muxun yelled. Going towards the General, the maid began to kowtow loudly. "General, please have mercy on our Eldest Miss. Don't trust in this maid's words. She is lying. She is trying to falsely accuse our Eldest Miss."

General Jiang looked at the crying maid at his feet. And, then he looked at his daughter who was standing a few feet away from him. His face looked deep in thoughts. Nobody could figure out what he was thinking. After a few seconds, the General looked at his eldest daughter and narrowed his eyes. "Muxun, have you done this?" he questioned.

Jiang Muxun inhaled sharply. Her face was in disbelief and she couldn't help but take a step back. Her eyes turned red and she began to sob. "F-father, you, you are trusting this maid over your own daughter?"
