Lunch with Alvin

Dania cursed several times when she was disturbed by the noise of her cellphone which kept ringing. This sucks. While the pile of work awaited, the unknown calls kept coming in. Who else is the culprit if not Alvin. Does that man have nothing to do but annoy her every day? Two hours ago even though she had already picked up the call.

Thankfully the ringing on the phone finally stopped. It was only a moment before another ringing sounded. This time from the telephone on her desk. Dania took a deep breath. Her right hand grabbed the receiver while the fingers of her left hand continued to dance on the laptop keys.

"hello, with HR Welfare here, is there anything I can help you with?" said Dania kindly while holding the receiver between her ear and shoulder. While his right hand is now moving over the laptop keys again.

"Are you so busy that you can't pick up my calls?"

Dania's fingers that had been moving nimbly suddenly stopped when her ear caught the sound on the other end. She exhaled roughly.

"I'm really busy. If nothing important. I hung up the phone."

"Dania, wait a minute. I just wanted to take you to lunch. I happened to be near your office." Alvin, there is still trying. There was nothing Dania could do other than accept Alvin's invitation if she didn't want her work to be disturbed.

"Okay, where?"

"At a restaurant near your office."

"Okay, we'll meet there."

"Okay, darling. Enjoy your work."

After that, the call ends. Dania had expected her days would not be calm. Alvin won't let it relax. The man's behavior did not make Dania comfortable.

Alvin waved when Dania had just entered the restaurant. Dania suspected that the man was keeping an eye on the door because he knew as soon as Dania came.

"You haven't ordered yet?" asked Dania as soon as she got to the table where Alvin was.

Alvin stood up and pulled a chair for Dania. "I'm waiting for you."

"Thank you. If so, just order. Because I can't stay long." Dania sat up.

A waiter immediately approached them and handed over a menu book.

"Don't rush, honey. Take your time."

"After this, I have to go to the manpower office." Dania turned to the waiter. "I ordered butter fried chicken, only half of the rice, can I ask for half-cooked boiled vegetables?"

"Yes, Miss," replied the waiter.

Dania nodded. "Okay, I want some orange juice." Dania closes the menu book.

"That's all you ordered?" Alvin asked.

"In the afternoon I don't dare to eat much. I have a lot of work to do, I can get sleepy."

Alvin mentioned his order, then let the waiter go after taking the order.

"I have left our wedding preparations to a professional WO. Or you have a wedding concept you want, we can discuss it."

Maybe it would be nice to discuss a concept of marriage that we want with someone we love. Dania's case is not like that. How could she be enthusiastic about the forced marriage she was about to have?

Dania shrugged. "I don't have any concept. It's up to you what concept to use."

Even if Alvin uses the concept of a dark moon vampire, it's not a problem for Dania. Gloomy! Just the same right? She was heading towards the gate of gloom.

"Okay." Alvin smiled. The smile that Dania still looked down on. Even though Alvin's smile was made as wide as possible. For Dania, it was still like a fake smile.

***

Dania met Viona in the lobby of the office building where she worked. Viona walks alone, even though usually she will always follow her boss wherever the boss goes.

"Dania! Have you had lunch with Alvin?" Viona asked looking around. The woman must be looking for Alvin.

"Yes, he's gone. You won't be able to find him."

Viona pouted in disappointment. She then took Dania's arm towards the elevator. "How is your relationship with Alvin?"

"As usual."

"Is that so? After all, it's just normal?"

The two of them entered the elevator door which was already open.

"What do you want me to say? I don't have feelings for him."

Viona nodded. "Then the day before yesterday how did you hire an entertainer? Who is that? Umm, Al-Alex! Yes, Alex. How is he? I've never met him. Last night I tried to order him—"

"What? Do you order him?" said Dania quickly.

Viona nodded. "But he said he didn't want to accept guests anymore. Even though I was willing to pay a lot of money."

For some reason Dania felt relieved, Alex refused Viona's order.

"So, how about it? Did Alex manage to get you excited?" Viona laughed. Her brain is a bit rattled.

"I was just talking yesterday. And we didn't do anything."

They got out of the elevator after reaching their destination. The marketing office where Clara is.

"Are you crazy? Hundreds of millions of money just to invite you to chat? You're stressed Dania!"

Clara, who was about to enter her room, frowned at Viona's reaction.

"What's the matter, girls?"

"Dania is crazy, Cla. When she rents a gig—"

Dania hastily covered Viona's mouth before she could speak. She then pulled Viona into Clara's room.

"You're crazy, Vi. If people here hear your unfiltered words, Where else can I put my face?" Dania shrieked.

"I'm sorry. I forgot." Viona smacked her mouth.

"What are you guys doing?" asked Clara who was still confused by the behavior of her two friends.

Viona went to sit on the edge of Clara's desk. While Dania sat in the chair in front of the table.

"Si Alex, the gigolo who is said to be great is just being asked by this idiot to talk?" Viona pointed at Dania.

Suddenly, Clara's eyebrows rose. "Is that so?" asked Clara looking at Dania.

The one in question shrugged. "Yeah, what can I do if it turns out that Alex is the guy I met at the peak of my escape from Alvin?"

"What?!" Clara and Viona reflexively glared.

Viona may have heard the story from Clara. That's why the woman reacted the same as Clara.

"So, the man who helped you was a gigolo?"

Dania nodded. "I'm completely shocked. So, I'm no longer interested in being serviced. You can just imagine it. I already know the man. It just feels weird."

Clara smiled wickedly. "Isn't this an interesting coincidence? I still remember you once said that the man was handsome. When are you going to be served by a handsome man again?"

Dania rolled her eyes. "I can't. It's awkward. But Alex doesn't think so." Dania still remembers how Alex hugged her suddenly. The sensation is still felt to this day.

"Sure, he used to serve his clients," said Viona. "So, if it's just servicing you, maybe it's okay. Even though you two know each other. That's professional."

Dania looked stunned. "Is that so." Even though Dania's feelings that night was in a bad shape. "I wouldn't have texted him if I knew it was Martin."

"So his name is Martin instead of Alex?" Viona asked.

"His full name is Alex Martin Wiriawan."

"Isn't that Wiriawan who is a well-known businessman?" asked Clara.

"How would I know. I didn't ask."

Viona looked at Clara confused. "How can a famous businessman be a gigolo?"

Clara rolled her eyes. "I just mean Alex is his son."

"How could the son of a famous businessman be a gigolo?"

Clara and Viona looked at each other, and soon they burst out laughing. Only Dania is still thinking, it turns out to be annoying to imagine the many women that Alex has served.
