Chapter 6

Wrong choice of words #Mistake.

Before I knew it a hand connected with my face, the force made me bite my lip and spat out blood. Lysander leaned over and said

" you shouldn't have said that. When I'm done with you, you will be sorry so I leave in the hands of Vega I'm sure you are well acquitted with her so good luck cause you will need it".

Vega walked to me with a tray in her hands. I began to panic, trying to force my hands out of the handcuffs, it was all in vain because my efforts were useless. She set down her tools in an orderly manner before raising my chair a bit higher. She pressed a button that cuffed my neck to the chair and then she smiled.

The room was pindrop silent then my scream were all I could hear. She slammed a hammer to my wrist, she pierced series of pins into all my finger nails that led to my unending screams. Tears flowed continuously, she continued with no sign of stopping. I felt nerve wrecking pain that made me shiver, I could no longer feel my body or the pain that she inflicted on me. Before she took her leave, she gave me some water to drink before she said "Don't give up yet, the best is yet to come".

Hours later, she came back with a machine that I knew very well. It was then all the long lost strength came back, I still don't know why I tried to free myself when I knew what the outcome would be. Vega pressed my head to the chair before laughing maniacally saying I would enjoy this.

It sounded like she was the one who was about to enjoy what was to come next. She placed a piece of clothing on my face covering my nose with her hand, before emptying a bottle of alcohol on my face. I gasped for air, breathing was getting hard. I shook my head as the alcohol entered my mouth, but the cuffs were starting to hurt my neck.

She removed the cloth from my face, air rushed into my lungs making me cough profusely. She attached something to my head, it was then I realized what this machine was. My parents used one when they punished the worst of criminals now it was my turn. I couldn't fight my way out of this one so I stayed still and succumbed to my fate.

She turned on the machine and my body started vibrating within seconds, she did this for hours before uncuffing me and throwing me into a cage. I was tired of all this pain, the heartbreak I felt not knowing whether my parents were alive or not gnawed at my heart. I reached for the knife on the table beside me. I ran the knife across my wrist and laid there feeling my life slipping out of me as blood left me.

I remember Vega rushing in with some guards. They opened the cage, carrying me to the school's infirmary. I was cleaned up and returned back to the cage. I had no concept of time anymore, I don't remember the last time I even took a sip of water. Vega never came back during this period of time. I started having sizures, the lack of food and water made my organs almost fail. I had spat out blood at one point. I was hospitalized for a week and then the torture came to a halt.

I was asked to return back to my room by the end of the week. A week went by quickly and getting to my room I was really surprised when I opened the door I saw Corey and his friends in the room they all sat on the bed waiting for me I guess, I was greeted by something that felt familiar to me and that was warmth and comfort.

When they saw my state, they were all taken aback by my tattered hair, bruises and cut mark on my arm. I was feeling insecure and uncomfortable when they all saw the bruises and cuts that couldn't be covered by the clothes I wore. Corey stood up and walked over to me with a towel.

He said "do you have think you can take a shower on your own, Red?"

"I think so, thanks for asking", I went into to the bathroom and stayed in the shower for a while, trying to scrub off all the dirt from my body. Minutes later I came out from the bathroom in new clothes and they were all still in the room but now they were with food and we all gathered and ate together before they left me in the room and told me that they will come back tomorrow to check up on me.
