Darkness And Light

After a while, Ilona and Mason's eyes adjusted to the darkness of the cave.  With the light coming in from the entrance, Ilona could see well enough to lay out the white sail and unfold it until it was about the size they would need for a bed.  There wouldn't be enough to use as a blanket as well, however, and that disappointed her.

Mason slowly made his way over to the canvas and finally eased himself down with a groan.  They had lost track of his shirt with everything they'd been through that morning, so Ilona would have to go look for it later.  For now, she just wanted to make sure he was as comfortable as he could be in their little cave in the dark.

As she was working to adjust the thick canvas sail, Ilona noticed one corner of the cave towards the front seemed lighter than the others.  She didn't understand how that could be.  Curious, she walked over and looked up at the crystal-filled ceiling above.
