The Tunnels And The Dragon

Everyone knew the dragon had to be moved from in front of the cave even though they didn't all agree on what should happen to it from there. Due to the size and weight of the beast, and the fact that the men were weak from so many days with so little food, it would take all of them to move it. They would also need men to keep watch because Mason had killed only one dragon, and there were at least six more females that they knew of.

And, of course, the male that was keeping himself out of sight.

Since their main entrance was now blocked by the dead beast, they would have to travel around to one of the other entrances through the tunnels. A few men took partially burned branches from the fire to use as torches to light their way. Together, they all headed off down the farthest tunnel that would lead them deeper into the island.
