Sleeping In and Waking Up

Night passed on the island, and dawn came. The pirates sleeping around the camp only stirred when the light finally made its way to them through the jungle canopy, but it was a while later before they actually got up and moving. All were stiff and sore from the constant battering they'd taken since they last left the big cave. It felt like ages ago now.

Jamie took a few of the others to the beach with him and they collected the remaining crabs that were still scurrying about. They had slept in too late to gather very many, but they were all happy just to have a break from oysters.

They collected fresh water from the pool and spent some time washing things. No one went anywhere alone. Anja had admitted to killing the men by the stream and Ilona to the ones with Vane, but that still left plenty of his men roaming the island. No one knew how they would react to the death of their leader.
