"Mother, why his father angry."
"Well...the kingdom attempted something bad."
"What did they try to do?"
"Rose, dear, ill tell you when you're older."
"Why can't I know now?"
"Rose...."
"Yes, mother?"
"I hope you find the perfect man."
Accidental Reincarnation.
Minshuku was in the middle of nowhere. He knew somewhat how teleportation worked, but he finally knew one of the cons to this amazing ability: he cant teleport to places he's never been to. so he had to travel. on foot.
"Dammit, this fucking sucks!"
Even though he was complaining, he kinda was enjoying this. adventuring into the wilderness, with no rules. but again, minshuku was in the middle of nowhere. which means.... no food. or water. nothing. He didn't really think this through.
"Crap. Crap! I'm going to starve!"
He started to pick up the pace, running through the sand until he saw a small village in the distance.
"Phew! I'm gonna live!"
He started to walk towards to village until he made it to the border. though, it was less of a border and more just stones around the outside. he was easily able to get in. as he walking through, he noticed something. all the people here were looking at him. staring him down.
"Can you guys come out?!"
Within the next 20 seconds, around 30 or so people stood around him, circling him.
"What do ya want?"
the man who spoke sounded like he ran things, so minshuku responded to him.
"Nothing... just passing through."
"Then leave."
Minshuku was starting to get ticked off. [ who the hell made this guy pissed?] Minshuku wasn't going to have any of this man's B.S. so he got rude back.
"I don't have to leave if I don't want to."
"Oh? you against thirty? do you really want to do this?"
"Oh.. your all nothing. it will take way more to take me down."
"Help us."
mInshuku was startled by that last bit, as he was expecting an all-out brawl. but they surrendered. they were asking for help?
"Why do you want my help."
"Were trapped."
"By who?"
"Mercy."
"Whos Mercy?"
"Please, follow me."
Minshuku followed the man. he went to a building where they talked in private. everybody else went back to their homes.
"Why is mercy keeping you here?"
"Because we will all die."
"I'm confused..."
"Today is the day where mercy comes. and somebody will be spared."
"What?"
"Every week, a man called mercy comes around and saves one of us. we don't know much about mercy, or who he is. all we know is that he is the reason we're all alive."
"Do you guys remember growing up here?"
"No. none of us remember where we came from. that's why we listen to mercy."
"Why do you want my help then? it seems this mercy fellow is a god."
"We think he's killing everybody he saves. we think were his test subjects."
"So you think mercy is evil... yet you still do what he says?"
"Well... we have no choice."
"Hm... sounds like this guy is fucked up..."
Minshuku was still processing everything he was told. while he understood everything the man said. there was one thing that kept rolling in his head.
[Who would do this? how could somebody be so fucked up?]
Minshuku agreed to help the man, and when Minshuku asked for the man's name, he just said "I am 1."
"1?"
"Yes, I am 1. 1 of 50."
"Ok then."
The saving process was about to begin, and it was also time to meet mercy. once he was there he saw mercy, as well as the child they were going to sacrifice. he noticed it was a little girl.
all of a sudden, both mercy, and the girl disappeared.
[he's... a teleporter... he's... like me...]
Minshuku felt like he looked in a mirror. it was as if he saw himself grab the girl and teleport away. it made him sad. it made him confused. but most of all...
It made him smile.
