Resolution

"I know that you are very unsatisfied with my current decision. But, you have to know that my father is not easy to defeat. Not to mention that he has a lot of yakuza backing."

"But that's my dad! They want to kill him! As his son, I can't let this happening."

Maya sighed when Handi had stated so. She knew what she had to do as a mature woman. Which led her to say,

"You have to stay calm. This is not some sort of school stuff, blockchain stuff, or you name it. Politic is much harsher than everything you know in your life, Handi."

"But that's my dad! The one they wanted to assassinate is my dad!"

"Listen!" Maya's face darkened when she yelled so. She was not the one who liked to yell at someone but as for this time. She had no choice but to yell at Handi, her lover, who she yearned for a long time already.

Knowing her fierce part for the first time had led Handi to silenced, guess what? "Man will listen to a woman regardless." Was an indisputable logic. It was not even someone like Handi, who had power as strong as a crown prince, could be able to defy a woman's word.

"Sorry to freak you out. But, listen to me, Handi."

"Tell me what's your idea, Maya." Handi requested her for that. But, Handi's tone was not as lovely as when he was used to be anymore. Maya was gulped when the initially pleasant and calm man would actually show a harsh glare to someone else.

But she knew it better than anyone over a son who wanted to protect his own father or mother. It was enough for her to understand how resolute Handi's mind was.

Thus, she decided to explain it to him.

"Why not we try to arrest my dad from the legal way? You have a lot of resources enough for those lawyer games, do you?"

"It was not as good as it is, sweetie. Not to mention that politics is a thing that I really hated a lot. If you don't allow me to do something for my dad, then I won't forgive you."

"I want you to stop for a while and think it clearly instead. First of all, your dad was talked to me about this possibility before. And I have promised him that I won't let you get involved."

"You have gone overboard, Maya," Handi warned her in the severe tone yet, scary.

It was scary enough to scare someone. But, Maya was a vampire. Not a human who could be left their feet into the weakest position possible. So, that kind of intimidation would not work against her.

But, the one who had that intimidation aura was her own boyfriend, not her foe, who she was not feared of.

Thus, she froze into the fear that one day, the guy in front of her would end to be a man she had an insight into when she was younger.

"I will help you if you really want to attack them. Twelve yakuza clans supported my dad. Each of them has the shared benefit for killing your father."

"I can do it myself!" Handi looked at her with the severe glare, pulling his Revolver up from his coat.
