I sighed. "I know we're taking a break and all. But why are you tying me up?"

Cielo wrapped me up to a tree with a rope he carried in his bag. We had been walking through the forest for about three days now. We could be considered the luckiest people alive. Kinda…

We found fruits in trees and berries in bushes. We had no idea how to hunt and forget finding nuts to eat. We had no idea which to eat and which not to eat. To be honest, I felt sick from just eating fruit for three days without any type of meat.

We passed by a river yesterday and filled up some containers found in Cielo's bag. The bag which he still won't tell me where it came from.

"I just don't want you to run off on your own after I tell you" Cielo replied

I looked down at the knot he made in front of me. It was messy and loose. I guess that wasn't on purpose.

"Tell me what?" I asked

Cielo stood up and dusted off his pants. "The reason why I have this bag."

I stood in front of the mirror. I looked ugly.

My bangs were slicked back which I used to hide my giant forehead. My clothes were really uncomfortable. Not to mention the shoes.

I sat down to give my aching feet a break when I heard a knock at my door.

Do I really need to get up again? I just sat down...

The door knob turned and mom walked in.

Oh thank goodness! I don't need to get up!

"Hey mom!" I said

She smiled and said "Stand up. Let me get a good look at you"

Noooo!!!

I slowly got up on my feet and did a little twirl. "Don't I look fabulous?"

She laughed "Not at all"

As I sat back down I looked up and saw tears falling down her face.

"What's wrong? Is it the wedding? I'm really fine with it!" I said worried

She shook her head "I need to tell you something. But you can't tell your sister!"

I nodded and led her to the seat I was sitting on.

"A few years ago, I had a dream. This dream was of your sister's memories of the future. It showed me what's going to happen during and after this wedding." She looked up at me "I am so sorry but I'm not going to be able to be with you for your real wedding"

"My...real wedding? You're not making sense" I said "You mean you…"

"Today is the day I die."

I froze before running towards the door "We need to tell someone! They need to cancel the wedding!"

She grabbed my sleeve. "Don't! This is the only way. I've accepted this a long time ago"

I turned back "But I haven't! We can still change things!"

"I won't have my kingdom die because of me" she said "I can't watch that happen"

Her eyes were desperate. Desperate for me to understand. Desperate for me to accept the fact that she will soon die and that I can't stop it.

"Please…"

She shook her head "No"

I sank to the ground. I couldn't feel anything. Not the stream of tears falling. My heart breaking. Even the cuts on my palm I made with my nails as I clenched my fist.

She placed her hand atop of my head. I took deep breaths and finally calmed down. "Since you've told me this, I'm guessing you need me for something?"

"I have a bag ready for you outside the door hidden in some bushes. Take it and run towards the North side of the wall. You will be able to get over it from there." She explained

"Why would I need to get over the wall?"

"You will know later"

She stood up and picked me up from the floor. "A prince nor a princess should never wail on the floor"

I hugged her tightly and said "You've always accepted me no matter what. For that, I am thankful to you. This goes to dad as well. I have so much I want to say to you. But for now, I just want to say 'I love you' and 'I miss you'" I tried my best to keep my voice from wavering and cracking but damn if I failed.

I let her go and she was about to walk out the door when she turned back. "Just so you know, anyone you choose to be with for the rest of your life is okay with me. As long as they make you happy, that's all that matters. That goes for your sister as well"

"Wait! You know who I end up with?!" I asked

She smirked

"Tell me!"

She left and closed the door behind her.

I sat against the door.

I heard a mumbled "I love you" from behind the door and I couldn't hold myself together anymore. I curled up in a ball and cried until the wedding.

I couldn't breathe. My heart raced but I felt dead inside.

Cielo was talking but my mind couldn't comprehend what he was saying.

"Estrella? Are you okay?" Luna asked

I gulped and nodded.

"I'm going to untie you. Okay?" She asked

Again, I nodded.

She untied the loose rope and placed it in the bag.

I stood and walked over to Cielo.

He flinched "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner! I just didn't want you running back to the kingdom! I wanted to save her but she wouldn't let me! This is hard on me too"

I grabbed him and pulled him towards me.

"I'm sorry you had to keep that hidden for so long. Thank you" I said

He shook against me not saying a word.

I looked up at the sky. The sun was high and bright.

"We still have some more time left to walk. Do you want to keep going?" I asked

"Yeah"
