Divorce invitation letter

On a hot day, Adriana walked leisurely to her house which was located about a hundred meters from her shop. she walked through the sidewalk, which was shaded by the neatly lined palm trees.

"Adriana!"

When she heard her name being called, Adriana turned around and saw someone who called her running up to her.

"Jenna," said Adriana with a smile on her lips. It turned out that what approached her was a girl who used to be with her from school to college. they hugged for a while.

"How are you?" Jenna asked after letting go of Adriana's arms.

"As you can see. I'm really good and feeling better," Adriana replied. she looked at Jenna's appearance, which seemed formal and attractive like a company employee. the girl was the same age as her and had gray eyes and blonde hair and was 170cm tall, almost the same as her.

"We haven't seen each other in a long time since you gave birth. I feel awkward visiting you at your husband's house," Jenna muttered with a disappointed expression.

Adriana sighed, then said, "from now, if you want to see me, just come to my mother's house. I live there now."

"Really?" Jenna looked happy, but the fun was short-lived and she looked at Adriana strangely. "If you live at your mother's house, what about your husband? Does he live with you?"

"We're going to divorce," Adriana finally said. she bent her face and walked under the tree for shade.

Jenna also followed Adriana. "Why are you guys getting a divorce? Is it because his mother is always insulting you?"

"Ah, that's not the only problem. it's about feelings, honesty, and loyalty, Jenna," said Adriana, leaning her shoulder against a palm tree trunk.

"Huh. I didn't think you two would divorce after struggling to get married," Jenna mumbled then glanced at her yellowish-white watch. "Tonight I'll come to your house. Now I have to get back to work."

"Okay, we'll talk tonight," said Adriana.

"Then I'll go now," said Jenna then hugged Adriana for a moment, then immediately turned attention to her car which was parked in the yard of a boutique not far from where she chatted with Adriana.

Mark is taking Maura to a beauty salon after eating together at a cafe owned by Maura's parents. He felt very bored, glanced at his lover who was in the cream bath.

The man was sitting on a chair playing on his smartphone. he saw his son's pictures in the gallery, which made him miss him because he had not seen each other for two weeks.

"Maura," said Mark.

Maura, who was still receiving a massage on the head by a salon employee, turned around. "Yes, honey. Why?"

"Are you still here for a long?" asked Mark.

"I think so. I have a facial and want to dye my hair too," replied Maura while enjoying a massage on her head which was given a mint chocolate scent cream.

Mark took a deep breath. "That means a very long time and I'll be moldy here."

"Dear. That's what women do in the salon."

"Huh. Then I'll go first. just call me when it's finished, I'll pick you up," Mark exclaimed somewhat annoyed getting up from the chair. he walked towards the exit without noticing a few visitors and the salon employee was watching him.

Mark immediately entered his car which was parked in the yard next to the salon and then drove it towards the road that leads to Adriana's family home. hem, he misses his son.

Arriving at home, Adriana went straight to the dining room where her mother was sitting relaxing enjoying a cup of tea while reading Amanda's collection of novels.

"Mom," said Adriana.

"You're home," Emma said.

"I'm tired, mom. I was lifting things only helped by Amanda because our employees didn't come," Adriana explained as she opened the refrigerator and took a medium-sized bottle of mineral water, then drank it.

"Bryan is like that if he skips, he never informs us first. but you can't fire him because he's an honest and kind young man," Emma said then drank her tea.

Ting... tong... Ting... Tong

A bell rang. Emma and Andriana stared at each other until finally one of them spoke.

"Let me open it," said Adriana then walked towards the main door bypassing the not-too-wide living room where Amanda was watching tv while eating potato chips bought from the supermarket.

Adriana opened the door and found a man about 30 years old wearing a blue hat and a white shirt like a mailing company uniform. The man was also wearing a medium-sized black sling bag.

"Good afternoon, your lady named Graceline Adriana Peterson?" the man asked formally and politely.

"Yeah, that's me?" Adriana answered.

"I'm delivering the summons for the trial tomorrow," the man replied then opened his bag and took out a light brown envelope. He gave the envelope to Adriana. "I hope you will come to immediately resolve the problems you are facing."

Adriana grabbed the envelope with mixed feelings. she didn't expect to get a letter like this in her life. even though her goal is to marry once in her life, but starting today she must bury that dream as deep as possible to heal her wounded heart because this is also her decision.

"I will come, thank you," said Adriana with a stoic smile.

The man smiled and nodded then asked Adriana to sign a small book as proof that she had received the letter.

"Then excuse me," said the man.

Adrian nodded then immediately walked into the house while opening the envelope. she stopped in the living room then sat on the sofa, reading the letter. the letter stated that the day after tomorrow, Adriana must attend the trial to discuss her divorce topic with Mark which will be attended by several witnesses.

"Where's the guest?" Emma asked as she arrived in the living room. she saw Adriana who was reading a letter.

"The guest is just a courier who delivers the summons from the court, mom," answered Adriana, folding the letter back and then putting it in an envelope. "The day after tomorrow I will attend the divorce trial. Hopefully, everything will be over soon and I can be relieved."

Emma sighed, then approached Adriana. She sat on the sofa opposite her daughter who looked like she was trying to be strong but couldn't hide the look of sadness on her naturally beautiful face. "If this is hard to you, can you try to hold on, dear?"

"I'm sure, My separation is painful, but the pain is temporary and I will get used to living my life without my husband. Being with mom, Amanda and Evan, has made me so much happier than when I was with him," said Adriana with a reassuring smile.

"Alright then. Mom always supports you," Emma said then stood up. "Let's have lunch together. I've warmed up some soup for you."

Adrian nodded. she got up and walked into the dining room to have lunch with her mother.
