The Dark Wizard

The mist and everything cleared away, they were back inside the inn and Nesrin staggered as if she had seen something horrifying. Izekiel held her in time, but his eyes turned dark at the paleness of her skin.

What was it that she saw?

Perhaps it was all his fault for not covering her ears when those painful cries echoed in the memory, it must have terrified her, but Izekiel himself was too drawn inside that time that he couldn't do anything.

'How funny," a voice inside him said, 'his majesty is worrying for the princess when there are much pressing matters at hand,'

'silence,' he commanded inside his mind.

'This is not the real world, her presence alone can not effect me,' it laughed, 'but tell, your majesty, if you are so easily swayed away then how are you going to face what is to come?'
