The White Lies

"Are you going somewhere, Nesrin?"

Izekiel repeated coldly.

He wore a long coat, and had hadn't come alone. Alice stood beside him with a bitter gaze as she looked at nowhere.

Nesrin's heart slowly sank as realization dawned upon her.

Alice was the one that always delivered her letters. Had she looked inside them?

That explained the situation well.

Izekiel must have already known about it.

Nesrin pressed her lips into a thin line as her eyes turned cold.

If he already knew her intentions, if he had already planned to raise sword against her if she leaves, then why must he treat her so tenderly last night?

What was the use of tricking her heart?

Eugene's men quickly raised their weapons at Izekiel.

"Let's go, your majesty,"

He said softly but there was an urgency in his voice.

Izekiel's smile faded as he threw away the bow and a long sword appeared in his hands.
