A Wild Escape

The old castle was worn out by the brutality of time and the horrors of mankind. Though it still had the majestic aura of the past, the long abandonment made it appear haunted. It was surrounded by ruins devoured by snow, and shadows of bygone days that spelled horror.

Nesrin's room faced a cliff with an endless depth. There was no other place from where she could escape. Her room was always locked from outside and she caught glimpse of two large guards outside when the maid has come to give her meals.

Izekiel had made sure she could not leave.

But what was the point of all the blood, sweat, and tears Nesrin shed in training, if she has to be confined by a room in the end?

It was the time of night, when the maid knocked on the door once, waited for a while, and then entered the room with a trolley of dinner. She habitually laid the plates upon a coffee table and set the spoons and knives in an orderly fashion.
