In The End

Her eyes glistened under the dim glow of the fire.

The cold blood against her fingers felt too burning to touch. Her heart was in turmoil yet oddly enough, there was an eerie calmness inside her mind as Nesrin forced her gnawing ache to subside and she let her mind slip into the spiritual dimension.

It was very short, she couldn't afford too much time.

Nesrin caught a glimpse of that blue water, and crimson wildflowers untainted by the darkness. In the middle...there was a small silver tree.

When her eyes opened they subconsciously landed over the silver scar on her hand. It has grown a little.

A pair of footsteps were approaching but her gaze is fixed over the blood in her hands. Her mind is frozen in time, unable to take everything in.

"Nesrin," Izekiel asked, "Where is the key?"

'There's nothing to heal.'
