Chapter 30

As Yuji was jumping from building to building, he slowly gets closer to Yukina, who was running around the archdemon, making it go in circles.

As Yuji gets close, Yukina notices him.

"Ok, what's your plan going to be?" she thought.

Yuji stops at a building behind the creature and observed.

"Is he just watching?" Yukina thought, "Wait...no..."

Noticing his intense stare, Yukina quickly knew that he was not just standing around watching.

"That kind of stare... he's observing thoroughly,".

"In that case... I'll put on a show!"

Yukina suddenly became aggressive and started dashing near the Arch Demons' massive skull, annoying the creature while avoiding its attacks.

"How's this? get anything from it?" Yukina thought as she glanced at Yuji.

"No reaction..." she said, seeing Yuji's expression

Yukina then dashed at a very high speed to the Arch Demon's side, noticing a chance to strike its eye.

"An opening!"

Yukina grabbed one of the Spears behind her and pulled her arm back as she was about to throw the explosive spear.

The archdemon quickly raised one of its hands to block its face, guarding it.

"Huh!" Yuji said, as his eyes enlarged over a possible idea.

"TSK!" Yukina clicked her tongue and scowled as she cancels her attempt to throw the spear.

Suddenly, the arm used by the archdemon swings directly at her.

She notices this and quickly boosted herself up, using the jet pack to dodge the attack.

"That was close..."

As she went higher above, she notices Yuji moving into a different position.

"did he figure something out?".

From Yuji's perspective.

"There are 3 explosive Spears, I got one and she has the other two..."

"Hopefully, if she gets what I'm thinking, we could pull this off with two explosive spears..."

"And if it doesn't work... we'll have one more chance to try..."

Yuji thought as he repositioned himself directly at the back of the archdemon.

"Right here..."

Yuji took a deep breath and held it in as he pulled his right arm, about to throw the spear, aiming at the sky.

"What is he doing?" Yukina thought as she notices Yuji, "where is he aiming??".

As she looked thoroughly, she noticed one of Yuji's hands was doing a certain gesture.

"Is that... a peace sign??" Yukina said in confusion.

"Woah!" Yukina shouted in surprise at the Arch Demon's hand, as the creature jumped to reach her.

"That was close..." Yukina said as she gained distance from the archdemon chasing her.

"Hey!" Yuji shouted from a distance, beside the archdemon, grabbing the creature's and Yukina's attention.

The archdemon slowly turned around and made eye contact with Yuji.

Yuji slightly shivered, "Ugh... I can never get used to this sight..."

STOMP* STOMP*

The archdemon fully turns around and started to run towards Yuji.

Yuji turned around and begins to run back.

As he was running, he stopped at a certain point.

"If I'm right, it was right here..." Yuji said looking up at the sky.

"Why did he bring the Akuma back there?" Yukina thought, " wait a second... where is the spear he was holding??".

Yukina looked above and saw a glint in the sky.

"Is that!?"

Yukina looked back at Yuji who was standing still at a certain position on the ground as the archdemon approaches.

"if I focus clearly on its attack, then I could dodge it just like what she does," Yuji thought, as he focuses on the Arch Demon, getting closer and closer to him.

"IDIOT! IF YOU DODGE FROM THERE...." Yukina shouted as the archdemon raised its hand in front of Yuji, in an attempt to crush him.

"Now!", Yuji dodges the Arch Demon's massive fist that landed just beside him, yet the shockwave from the impact on the ground pushed him away.

Losing his balance, he rolled over and over to the ground, gaining distance from the archdemon.

"Crap... that was stronger than I thought..." Yuji said.

"This guy..." Yukina thought, "he knew he was going to be thrown away by the impact, so he positioned himself where he can get the most distance away by going with the flow of the shockwaves..."

"If he were to hit a wall near that thing... he would have been in a grave situation..."

"He's crazy..." Yukina said with a grin on her face.

As the archdemon was about to chase after Yuji, Yukina shouted to take its attention.

"Hey!" She shouted as she threw a spear behind the creature's head.

The archdemon slowly turned around and faced Yukina.

"It's all up to you now..." Yuji said.

"That sign he was doing earlier..." Yukina thought, "that peace sign... is he trying to say second?"

"This arch demon can quickly react when I'm about to throw an explosive spear..."

"But... right now there's already one right above him..."

"If I completely focus, I can do this..."

Yukina grabbed an explosive spear behind her and threw it at the archdemon.

BOOM*

The archdemon used its massive hand to block the spear.

"RRRAAAGGHH,"

The archdemon roared as it pushed away the smoke covering its face, using its hand that blocked the spear.

"From this point, that spear can exactly land on its eye..."

"It doesn't have to be a direct hit..." Yukina thought, "as long as I can activate it in front of its eye,".

Then, as if time slowed down, Yukina focused entirely on the spear's accuracy and aimed it in front of the arch demon's massive head.

Yukina ignores all other information around her surroundings, making her entirely focused on one thing, to make the spear explode in front of its eye.

As if everything was black, except for the archdemon and the spear. Yukina raised her hand in front of her.

" Time it right..."

The archdemon took one step, leaving its face unguarded. The spear suddenly appeared from above, right in front of its eye.

"NOW!"

As the spear was about to go past the arch demon's eye, Yukina activated the explosive spear and ended up exploding right in front of the eye.

The explosion along with the shattered parts of the metal, pierced the single eye of the archdemon, making it lose its vision.

Yukina quickly dashed over to Yuji and grabbed his hand.

"Where did you take Elizabeth?" Yukina asked

"Go north," Yuji replied.

And with no hesitation, Yukina flew them away to the north side of the city.

"And for safety measures..." Yuji said as he pulled out the pistol-like weapon from his pocket and aimed it at the arch demon's head.

Seeing an opportunity to hit its eye again, Yuji released a powerful blast from the weapon and hit the arch demon's eye while also giving them a boost of speed.

"HAHA! Nice job!" Yukina said as they flew away at a very high speed.
