Chapter 50- A favor from a friend

The end scene consisted of the two characters destroying a certain device that attracts the Akumas in the area and causes them to go wild and aggressive, after beating the final boss.

Crash*

The massive Akuma fell down, as the two characters defeated it.

"We did it!" The female character said, "We killed that monster, and destroyed the device,".

"Now let's plant the bomb here," The male character said.

"But where? it has to be somewhere an Akuma might not find and touch, right?"

The male character looked around, searching for a spot to place the bomb.

"There!" The male character pointed at the massive Akuma's hand, "Hurry,"

The two characters placed the black case the male was holding under the Akumas hand, not crushing the device but enough to cover it.

"Chopper on standby, waiting for orders," A voice emerged from a communicator on their ear.

"Pick us up now!" The male said, "go to the extraction point!"

The two characters began to run above a building nearby, as the chopper awaited them at the top.

"You two have to hurry!" The man at the chopper said, "there's a big one coming for you!".

The two characters looked out the window and saw a massive Akuma almost a size of an average building.

"Another one!?" The female said.

"No, this seems much bigger!" The male said as they both hurried to go above the building while fighting Akumas blocking their path.

The chopper hid behind the building, on the opposite of the massive creature, "Change of location, the man at the chopper said, "but I don't know if this will be effective,".

The two characters reached the middle floor of the building and saw the chopper flying outside of the glass window.

"We see you!" The male said.

"Apparently, you're not the only one!" The man at the chopper said, looking through the glass window located behind the two characters.

The two characters looked behind them and saw the massive creature running towards the building they were inside of, looking at them through the large glass window.

"Crap! Hurry!" The male said.

The two characters jumped out through the glass window and safely made it inside the chopper as it began to move away from the location.

The creature thrust its massive body onto the building causing it to fall, almost hitting the chopper.

"You won't be able to reach us this high!" The pilot said increasing the altitude.

The creature roared, as the characters escaped.

A few moments later, the scene showed the characters away from the area, as a massive missile suddenly hit the location they escaped from.

"With this, humanity has a greater chance of surviving," the male character said.

"With those two out of the map, we sure do,".

"The second large one wasn't expected though," the pilot said, "who knows how many of those are there,".

"Who knows..." The female said, "I guess we'll find out the more we do our job,"

"I'll probably want a break first after this," the male said.

All the characters laughed as the helicopter drove into the sunset.

The screen then went black, as credits rolled up from the screen.

"That was... A good story," Yuji said.

Yukina nodded, "yeah... It sure was," she said, "if only it was that easy..." She whispered.

Clap* Clap*

Suddenly the people at the back began clapping their hands.

"BEAUTIFUL!"

The crowd let out multiple comments.

"What an awesome couple!"

"Congratulations!"

"Amazing!"

The people cheered.

Meanwhile.

"What the heck!?" Yuji said being confused.

"The game took so much of my focus I ended up not noticing them," Yukina said, waving at the crowd.

"You're just going to act like that?" Yuji said.

"Why not? They seem to be impressed with what we did,"

"Considering how hard that game was, maybe we actually did something amazing..." Yuji waved his hand bashfully.

"What are you expecting for your special prize?" One of the people from the crowd said.

"Special prize?" Yuji asked.

"Wait they don't know?" A guy from the crowd said.

"I'll be talking to them about that!".

Suddenly a girl in uniform, holding a briefcase, came through the crowd and took everyone's attention.

"You two who beat the game," the girl said, "I'll be explaining what you just earned from...".

"I feel like I know this girl," Yukina said, interrupting the woman, "Chi? Is that you?".

"Eh..." The girl said in shock, "Yukina!?".

The girl was rather small in height and had a young-looking face.

Suddenly, both of them ran toward each other and held each other's hands.

"Oh my God! it's been a long time!" Chi said enthusiastically.

"I know right!?" Yukina replied filled with excitement as they both jumped up and down.

Yuji watched from a distance, "this girl looks so young, yet she's wearing what seems to be a military uniform here… she couldn't be a kid, right?" noticing the girl's large chest bouncing as she jumps, Yuji looked away blushing, "yeah… no way…"

"Oh, and what prize did we win? considering you're the one explaining it then..." Yukina let out a suspicious face.

"Haha! You're probably thinking right," Chi said.

"Seriously, you and your country's unique ways..." Yukina said.

"Umm, what did we win exactly?" Yuji said.

"Oh! Sorry, I forgot your boyfriend here," Chi said.

"Eh!? That's..." Yukina said being bashful.

"Let's talk about this somewhere else ok?" Chi said.

The crowd let out disappointed noises, "we wanted to hear it too..."

"Sorry! It's Confidential," she said at the crowd in a teasing tone.

"Let's go!" Chi said, making her way out of the arcade, followed by Yuji and Yukina.

Later on, they reached a cafe, where they all sat inside the air-conditioned building.

"Order anything! My treat," Chi said.

Yuji looked at the menu carefully, "to be honest, with the money we have right now being treated to food isn't really necessary..." He thought.

"Hey Yuji," Yukina said, "I recommend this right here," she pointed at the dish, leaning closer to Yuji.

"You've been here before?" Yuji asked.

"Yeah, this is one of the best places to eat here, it's just a lot more expensive than the others though, " Yukina replied.

"How sweet of you two," Chi said in a teasing tone, "then we'll take this ma'am," she said to the waitress.

The waitress then placed their drinks and left.

"Chi!" Yukina said being bashful, "about what you said earlier, it's not like that!".

"Hm?" Chi tilted her head, "are you not Yukina's boyfriend?" Looking directly at Yuji.

"Huh!?" Yuji said, in shock, "n...no, it's not like that,".

"Hmm," Chi said, sounding doubtful.

"Anyways!" Yukina said, "what is that reward you were talking about? It's not this isn't it?".

"Of course not!" Chi replied, "we're not so cheap to reward you with just this,".

"Hm?" Yuji said in confusion, "it seems pretty normal to have this treat as a reward for completing a game, isn't it? Also this restaurant is expensive…".

"I had hunches on what the real reward would be," Yukina said, "considering the level of realism and difficulty of that game...".

"Ooh, looks like your right on the money after all," Chi said.

"Huh?" Yuji said being confused.

"You guys... Are trying to recruit a military member, aren't you?" Yukina said.

"Through a game!?" Yuji said in shock.

"Didn't you hear Yukina?" Chi said, "the game was supposedly made to be too difficult for people with ordinary caliber, and there was also the realistic weight of the gun and vibrations that represents the recoil,".

"Now that I think about it..." Yuji said, "you're right, anyone who would be able to finish that game probably isn't your average person... There's also that intense mental focus you need to apply for the game too, it's a really well-made game,".

"I know right!?" Chi said enthusiastically.

"Still, to use it to search for a soldier candidate... It's really..."

"Quite Distinct, isn't it?" Yukina said.

"Haha! Our city is known for being different after all," Chi said, "and the reward was actually a prize money and an opportunity,"

"Prize money and opportunity?" Yuji said.

"We'll give the said winners the opportunity to be one of our soldier trainees, of course, it's not forced and the decision is all up to that person,"

"I see," Yuji said.

"And this is the prize money, for bribery purposes," Chi said, placing the case on the table with a sign that says sixty thousand Ren.

"This much!?" Yuji said in shock, keeping his voice low, "wait, did you say bribery!?".

"Yep!" Chi said, "we're supposed to say you can earn this much and possibly more if you work with us,".

"That's almost the same amount of money we have..." Yuji thought.

"Wait a minute, Ren?" Yuji said.

"Oh yeah, it's the first you've heard of it," Yukina said, "it's basically the same money, it's just called differently, there's no difference in currency or anything,".

"I see, so they just call it Ren here," Yuji said.

"Is it his first time here?" Chi said.

"Yeah," Yukina replied.

"Well, with skills like that, he's probably a promising fellow," Chi said, looking at Yuji with full of interest.

"Anyways," Yukina said, "you know we can't take the opportunity reward, and that would also basically include the bribe money," Yukina said.

"She called it bribe money..." Yuji thought.

"Not necessarily... You can still have this money," Chi said, "knowing you're the one we're dealing with, I'll just ask for a favor,".
