Chapter 70

Somewhere in City A, inside a mall named B plus, Yuji followed Gabriela, who doesn't give him any idea of what she's planning to do.

Gabriela ran towards an establishment with a futuristic-looking door "Ooh! is this a new ride?" Being excited, she asked the clerk as she pointed at the name displayed on the wall.

"Yes, miss Gabriela! We just got that yesterday, the genre is a horror adventure, will you be able to handle it?"

"Hmph! I already finished all of these," Gabriela pointed at the names displayed on the wall, "and even the ones that made others scream, only made me feel more excited!"

Yuji observed the area, "what are those things she's pointing at? Movies?"

"Well, we could call it that," a female clerk said, approaching Yuji, "are you interested, sir?"

"Oh umm, this MaXimuM rider thing... I don't really know what it is,"

"Oh, I see! A first-timer, well if you're interested, MaXimuM rider is..."

"YUJI!" Gabriela shouted, "come on we're going,"

"Oh! I see you're with miss Gabriela,"

Gabriela walked closer to them, "yep, he's my guardian today!"

"I see, if that's the case, it'd be best for you sir to experience the ride yourself,"

"Oh, so it's a ride?" Yuji thought.

"But I must say... This person here is a first-timer and the one you picked is SS rated horror,"

"He'll be fine, probably,"

"What is this ride and this unsettling feeling!?" Yuji thought.

Gabriela grabbed Yuji's arm and dragged him inside the futuristic metal sliding door.

Inside the door, a man in uniform guided them to their seat inside the dark room, guided by his flashlight, "Enjoy your ride," he said, taking his leave.

"What's this? It's like a roller coaster vehicle and seat..." Yuji thought, "it's really dark in here, is this thing going to move?"

Suddenly a massive screen glowed in front of them, providing instructions.

"Make sure your seatbelt is fixed and.. "

Slowly, two parts of the ceiling made their way in front of Yuji and Gabriela, along with 3D glasses.

"Eh? We're supposed to take this, right?"

Yuji took the glasses and as the instructions on the large screen said, he put them on.

Suddenly the area went dark.

Not long after, sounds of rain started to play, as the massive screen showed a POV of a man walking into a suspicious-looking building.

"So it's like a movie... What are these glasses anyway?"

Crash*

The vehicle suddenly moved sideways.

"What's wrong!" Yuji shouted.

"Cool down Yuji, it's part of the ride,"

"Eh?"

Yuji looked at the screen and noticed the character's foot fell through the floorboards.

"I see, so it follows the perspective of the person on the screen, that way we can feel like we're inside, awesome! This ride might be really awesome!"

Not long after, horrific screams could be heard over and over inside the futuristic-looking door from the outside, as the ride continued.

five minutes later, the door opened.

With shivering bodies, the two of them slowly walked outside.

"I didn't expect that even the cold air on my neck was indicating that ghost was behind us..." Yuji mumbled, shivering.

"That's... An SS rate ride..." Gabriela said, Shivering.

With stiff bodies, they stopped in the middle of the small establishment.

The staff waited, looking nervous.

"That..." Yuji said slowly raising his head.

"WAS SO AWESOME!" Yuji shouted, in sync with Gabriela, both of them looking very amazed.

The staff let out a sigh of relief, "well that's great to hear,"

One of the staff approached them, "here are the shots from earlier, hope you find them interesting,"

"Eh... That's a lot of photos of me making terrified faces..."

"Hahaha!" Gabriela laughed, "you look horrible in all of these!"

"You were screaming in these too you know!"

"I think I look cute, despite being in fear like this, hehe," Gabriela winked.

"Why this confident little..."

Suddenly, Yuji saw a good photo.

"Ha! Look at this!" Yuji pulled out.

"Pffftt, HAHAHAHA" Gabriela laughed hardly, "that has to be the funniest face you made!"

Gabriela took the photo from his hands, "Sir! I'll be taking this!" She said, running towards the clerk.

"I was going to use the fact that she grabbed my arm in fear against her... But it seems it doesn't bother her..."

"Here you go," Gabriela gave Yuji the photo, as she get all the other ones and gave them back to the clerk.

"Eh?"

Gabriela walked back, "they said they'll give it for free as a bonus since it was your first time, and as thanks for your priceless reactions," she teased.

Yuji scowled in silence, looking embarrassed.

"Come on! Let's go, there are still a lot of things I want to check,"

And so, they walked outside of the establishment.

"Come back again," the clerk said.

Yuji smiled and nodded, following behind Gabriela.

Yuji followed Gabriela wherever she went, different food stalls, arcades, and clothes shops.

After some time, they walked out of the establishment selling clothes without carrying a single bag.

"You went there and didn't buy anything," Yuji said.

"Nothing took my interest, even though I wasn't actually planning on buying anything there,"

"I see,"

"Oh! I just remembered I needed to buy a new phone,"

"Now that you mention it, me too,"

"You're buying a new phone? What happened to your old one?"

"I think I left it at my locker, in City D,"

"Oh... I forgot about that,"

"Never mind that, how about you?"

"It got destroyed while I was killing an Akuma,"

"I guess that's not surprising,"

"That's why I'm about to buy something with good resistance to multiple things, along with a very shockproof case,"

"Where can we get something like that?"

"Follow me, I know they just released the latest model of that kind of phone,"

"Eh... I have a feeling that'd be expensive, not that I have to worry about money for the time being..." Yuji thought.

Shortly, they arrived at the shop that sells the phone.

"Space X, the price is thirty-five thousand," Yuji looked closer and read the large flier, "I don't know much about phones, but this seems pretty good isn't it? Along with what you told me earlier too,"

"I know right?" Gabriela smiled.

"The thing is..." Yuji looked beside him and noticed the long line going inside the shop, "I this line going to wear out?"

"Probably until it's all gone,"

"I see... Even if we go for a different brand... The line is the same,"

Yuji looked at Gabriela and was shocked by her smug expression.

"Do you remember who you're with?"

"Oh no..."

Gabriela went beside the line and took a peek at the cashier, the cashier took a glance outside.

Noticing Gabriela waving at her, the cashier quickly stood up, "get some staff outside now! It's Ms. Gabriela!"

Hearing the call, all the present staff quickly stopped what they are currently doing and rushed to do some sort of preparation.

"What's happening?" Yuji thought.

Gabriela walked beside Yuji and grabbed his arm.

"Eh?" With a troubled expression, Yuji got dragged by Gabriela forward, not being able to resist.

"Ms. Gabriela!" Three staff of the shop came and greeted them with military-like discipline, "good morning!"

"Good morning!" Gabriela greeted, letting go of Yuji.

"What's that?"

"Isn't that Miss Gabriela!?"

"She's buying a new phone I guess,"

"Who's that guy beside her?"

"Huh? She's with a guy?"

Yuji stood still, noticing the people's comments from the line.

"This is bad... I'm supposed to not take any huge attention, and look at this!" Yuji thought, "Yukina, please come back already,"

Meanwhile from Yukinas perspective.

City A, military main headquarters, Yukina was sitting inside a private room.

Silence filled the room she was in, being tensed, she tried to look at the person in front of her without being noticed.

"What should I do... How did I get into this situation?" With mixed and confused feelings, Yukina thought.

"Hey," the female in front of her said.

"Yes!?"

"Do you want to tell me something?"

"W... what do you mean?"

"I've noticed since earlier, but you seem to be glancing at me a bit too often,"

"How sharp!"

"Do you want to tell me something? If not then tell me why, so there won't be any misunderstandings..." The woman stared at her with a serious glare.

"As expected of Erina,"
