Chapter 78

Running through the streets, Yuji ran as fast as he could to reach the specialized weapon located at the end of the map.

"Alicia!" Yuji thought.

"Finally! It's my time to shine!" Alicia said cheerfully, "I'm syncing my information on the city now,"

"Thanks!"

Yuji went through multiple corners, leading to a shorter path towards the destination.

"What's this... I feel like my body is making moves I've never done before so casually," Yuji said.

"We talked about this last night, remember? When we're in sync my body memory syncs with yours too, as long as the moves are compatible with you that is,"

"What do you mean?"

"Like when we're jumping and doing parkour like this, or military-grade martial arts,"

"I see,"

"And for the ones that might not be compatible is... Open leg movements such as splitting,"

"No thank you, I'd rather not try,"

Alicia laughed.

"But seriously... Us syncing like this is awesome, it's like I already memorized this city,"

"Well you see, I figured out all these paths for my littlest sister,"

"Gabriela?"

"Yeah, in her first year of middle school, she was already so talented and powerful, that's why they let her participate in the rank test event to see her capabilities,"

"I see,"

"Seeing her so happy about it, I got a bit hyped up myself, so I explored the venue of the event and memorized the paths that could help her, the event back then was some sort of race by the way,"

"You're a really good sister,"

"I'm not so sure about that myself,"

After some time, Yuji managed to get closer to his intended location.

"Just behind all these few buildings and I'm there..." Looking at the map, Yuji felt concerned, "looks like there's only one way in and out, I'm going to have to run around it from here,"

"Not necessarily," Alicia said.

"You see that building over there?" Pointing at the tall building across the road, "go there and follow my lead,"

Yuji followed, not Knowing her plan.

"Excuse me, sir!" Yuji said, taking the attention of a man in a suit, about to enter the building,"

"Ah, an Ace academy student, how may I help you?" The man replied in a gentle tone.

"Umm..." Yuji began to hesitate, hearing what Alicia told him to do, "may I... Get to the rooftop of this building?"

"What the heck did you make me say!?" Yuji shouted in his mind.

"Chill, just watch,"

"Of course!" The man replied.

"Eh?" Being confused, Yuji followed the man and led him quickly to the rooftop.

After a short moment.

"This is as far as I can go," the man said.

"Ah! Thank you!"

"Good luck on your test,"

They both bowed, then the man went back down and made his way towards the elevator.

"I'm at the rooftop..." Yuji said, unable to believe what he did.

"Just as Liz said, you guys are the symbol of humanities hope, it's not unusual for others to offer help when you are in need, also don't hesitate to ask,"

"I see,"

"Look down from there,"

Yuji slowly moved forward reaching the end of the tall building, "what do you want me to do from here?"

"All right! It's my time to shine again!"

Meanwhile at the stadium.

"What's this? One of the students is almost by the specialized weapon area at the end of the map, and he's currently on top of a building!?" The commentator said.

"What is he doing?" Liz thought, watching him from the massive screen.

Back to Yuji.

"I see, so you're telling me to make a glider using your power to make it down there gently,"

Alicia nodded with a smile, "yep! Is there a problem?"

"I see, of course, there's no problem, apart from the fact that everyone will see me using the power of a legendary S class!"

"Hehe, saying I'm legendary..." Alicia said being flustered.

"You're missing the point!"

"Haha, sorry, but I get it,"

"Then what am I supposed to do now... Should I go back down..."

"Hm? Just jump down then,"

"From... Here?"

"It's ok, I know you can handle it,"

"No, it's... If I drop from here won't I damage the ground?"

"It won't be a violation if you reach the inside of that red circle,"

Yuji took a closer look, feeling nervous, "It's quite distant... Can I reach it?"

"I already told you, I know you can, if you're concerned then use my ability as a safety precaution on your feet, I think you already know how that goes,"

Sweat emerges from his forehead, "if you say so, then..."

Still feeling nervous, Yuji took multiple steps backward, preparing to jump.

Meanwhile at the stadium, "what's this! The student on top of the building seems to be backing up,"

Liz stood up from her seat, "don't tell me!?"

Yuji began to run as fast as he could, building momentum.

"He's going to jump!" The commentator shouted.

Liz stood still, stunned speechless with an open mouth, as Yuji completely jumps off the building.

Yuji focused on his objective as the tension from falling disappears, "I'm gonna make it!" Traveling in mid-air with only momentum as his force, he tried to reach the inside of the zone.

"I made it!" Passing through the tall wall blocking the back of the zone, Yuji's eyes shrunk as he sees the ground closing in on him at a fast speed.

"Aaahhh!"

Crash*

Smoke filled the area as cracks on the sandstone ground emerges from Yuji's landing.

"And, superhero landing!" Alicia said in a cheerful tone.

Yuji sat with one knee and a fist touching the ground, with a proper pose of the body, his face was pale and looked as if his soul left his body.

Yuji shivered, staying in the same position, "I... I made it,"

Meanwhile at the stadium.

"He made it!" The commentator shouted as the crowd cheered loudly.

Liz sat down, "I can't believe it... So did that kid always have an ability?" She thought.

"Ma'am a few students are already starting to make their way back to the stadium," the staff said.

"I see... Give them additional points,"

"Oh, and look at this!" The commentator said, splitting the largest screen into two sections, "looks like two students are about to get back here in the stadium!"

Layla closed her eyes and screamed in fear, holding Erina tightly as they go down from a tall building.

"Relax a little, Layla," Erina said, as she threw an electric field on the ground using her ability, "good thing no one is here,"

Connecting her body electricity to the electric field on the ground, she slowly touched the floor, despite jumping from a tall building and falling at an incredible speed.

"Open your eyes, we're running from here," Erina said, putting down Layla.

"Ah! S... sorry,"

"It's ok, now let's go,"

Liz grabbed the mic, "announcement, battle or use of ability inside the stadium is strictly prohibited until I say so," end of transmission.

"So, the stadium is a safe house now," Erina said.

"You think we're the first ones to arrive back?"

"Probably,"

"Phew, that was quite a ride... How did I not get electrified though?"

"It's because I practiced placing a negative field on a person so that they won't be hurt by my electricity,"

"You're really amazing Erina, you even thought about things like that with your ability for such cases,"

"Y... yeah it just happened to work right now," Erina shivered, "I can't tell her I practiced it before so that I could take Yuji on something like that someday..." she thought.

"And our first students have arrived!" The commentator said as the crowd cheered.

In a short moment, several staff walked towards the two of them, "alright, we're here to register you both, let's start with what you brought back,"
