Chapter 94

Crash*

In almost an instant, Gabriela came crashing into the ground with two massive luminous hands, sending a strong shockwave all over the area.

Parts of trees went flying, as the outrageous wind blew away nearly anything sitting still on the ground.

Yuji flew towards the nearest thick tree, hitting his back as he was unable to control his speed and momentum. Falling down on the ground, he quickly tried to stand up, "ugh! I didn't feel a thing, but it got harder to move after that impact…"

Standing up from the ground, his eyes shrunken as he saw Gabriella standing some distance away from him, being covered circularly by luminous lights like some sort of barrier, "you…" she said, locking eyes with Yuji, "you… just who are you…"

"I can tell you everything, just calm…."

"I can't trust you… I shouldn't… since you're a liar…"

"there's no getting through her," Alicia said, "we need to put her back to her senses first… try smacking her,"

"that's easier said than done! Do you see what's surrounding her?"

"you got a better idea?"

"no…"

"then let's…"

Taking a quick look around, Yuji's eyes shrunk as he notices a sight he could not ignore.

"Yukina!!" he shouted instinctively.

Looking behind her, Gabriela shivered as her eyes shrunk due to the scene displayed in front of her, "Yukina… why…?"

Yukina was lying on the ground, curled up and trembling in pain, letting out an expression filled with suffering.

Yuji came dashing towards Yukina as fast as he could, passing Gabriela.

As numerous whips suddenly appeared, Yuji grabbed Yukina, lifting her legs and hugging her tightly, he carried her away from the area as he dodges the whips ravaging around.

"Crap! Why did all of these have to suddenly appear!?" he glanced back at Gabriela, "what is she trying to…?" looking at Gabriela, he felt extremely confused as he gets further away from her.

Yuji looked at Yukina as she groans in pain, noticing her pained expression, he ran faster.

After a short moment, Yukina slowly opens her eyes as her expression showed slight signs of relief, "over here is good… stop here…." She said in a weakened voice, grabbing Yuji's shirt.

Yuji stopped as he looked for a place to put Yukina.

He puts her down, slouching by a tree as he kneels beside her, "are you feeling ok now?"

She breathed heavily, "I'm starting to…" holding her hip as she starts to recover from the pain, "it's like the pain wasn't even there in the first place," hitting her right waist, "but it kind of gives you mental trauma, hehe," she looks at Yuji, "though I'm really impressed, you were enduring that much pain while running towards her… if it were me, even if I know what's coming, I don't think I'd be able to…"

"I only got hit in one arm and one leg, I don't know how much it would have hurt if it hit somewhere near your vitals…"

"I see… I see," Yukina let out a sigh, "it seems the situation got worse, and I don't think I can go back in there…" she held her pants and gripped in frustration, looking as if she was about to cry.

"The situation definitely changed… but I don't know whether it's worse or better,"

Yukina raised her head, "what do you mean?"

Yuji stood up, "looking back when I was taking you away, she was looking straight at me, at the same time, the number of whips increased. Yet, all the whips were just randomly attacking, none were focusing on me, so it actually made it a bit easier… Also…"

"Also?"

"When I was looking at her, her face looked as if she was devastated… tears were falling down her cheeks, she was crying in despair…."

"Gaby…"

Yuji gripped his hands, "just what is going on with her…?"

Silence occurred as they were both lost in thought.

"What should we do?"

"It's obvious, I'm going back in there to try harder…"

"what about me?"

"You stay here, you said it yourself, didn't you? you can't go back in there,"

"But… there's got to be something…"

"Yukina, just leave it to me," locking eyes with her, looking serious.

Yukina stood up, walked closer to Yuji, and buried her forehead in his chest, "please… save her…"

Earlier, in city A's central, in front of a dinner.

A cold breeze swept past the streets as the sun gets later into the afternoon, "where is she… she's never late, even for a minute,"

Crash* Slash*

Dodging a massive number of whips, Yuji came dashing through deeper into the area, aiming to find Gabriela inside the forest of whips.

Crash*

"There is so much going on in here!" Yuji said, dodging every single attack coming his way, "but compared to earlier, none is attacking me directly… it's just…"

Crash* slash* slash*

His arm gets surrounded with luminous lights, forming a sharp shield-like form, deflecting numerous whips as he dodges everything else, "it's just… there are just too many!"

Dashing through every slash, he finally saw Gabriela from a distance, "I see her!"

Being covered by massive transparent hands made of luminous lights, Gabriela sat on the ground, hugging her knees as she looked devastated, "I'm a bad kid… I should be punished…. This is my punishment…" she whispered in a fast manner.

"What is she saying?" Yuji thought, trying to get closer to her.

"Wait Yuji!!" Alicia shouted.

As he gets to a certain distance near Gabriela, Yuji felt an anomaly within the air, "huh? It's… hard to move," seeing a massive whip coming in front of him, he felt stiff as he struggled to move, "I won't be able to dodge this one!"

Using all his force towards his arm, he pulled it in front of him as he creates a bigger shield.

SLASH* SMACK*

Hitting his unfinished shield directly, he went flying across the area, "Crap!" seeing multiple whips about to intercept him, he aimed to shield his body as he was about to be hit in multiple directions.

SLASH* SLASH*

Hitting him in multiple directions, Yuji flew all over the area.

"Shield it! Shield it! Shield it! Shield it! Shield it! Shield it! Shield it! Shield it!"

Shielding every part of his body as it was about to get hit, he barely had any time to get back on his feet

As he drifts his feet against the ground, another whip sends him flying before he could reclaim his balance.

"This is bad… I can't recover…"

SLASH* CRASH

"No! just focus! Find a way to recover! Wait for the chance and grab it!"

Suddenly, as if it was in an instant, a hand grabbed his wrist, pulling him closer as he made contact with somebody, "are you ok?" An unfamiliar female voice said, wrapping her arms around his waist.

Suddenly, the ground shook and deformed, making most of the whips near them disappear.

As he was amazed and confused by what happened, a light silver hair appeared from the corner of his vision.
