After a moment of silence, Kalliope finally scooped the unconscious Argan into her arms and moved him into the side of the bed from the middle section. By that time, the smile on her face had long gone and she was back to her solemn state. Her eyebrows furrowed as she watched the sleeping cat tucked underneath the blanket.
She pursed her lips. No matter how she tried to make sense of it, her heart didn't seem to bear any guilt. It was as if her action was deemed correct, however by logical sense, Kalliope was aware that what she did was wrong. The realization only dawned on her after a few minutes had passed. By doing this, she had indefinitely severed the element of trust in their relationship.
