I woke up to the sound of my alarm telling me it was morning. As I got up I felt something wet underneath my hands. I looked down and saw that my entire bed was wet. I felt my face and felt sweat coming off it. I was covered head to toe with sweat.
"What the hell? Why am I covered in so much sweat. It wasn't even hot last night," I said with a bit of worry. Today was laundry day which was good because my bed sheets and clothes smelt terrible.
I got out of my sweat soaked pajamas and put on the white uniform, and started to take off my bed sheets.
"Knock, knock anybody in there? I'm here for your laundry," the laundry lady called out.
"Yes I'll be just a second, having some trouble getting the last sheet," I said to her. I pulled off the sheet and put all my dirty laundry in a ball and handed it to her. Hoping she wouldn't smell how bad they were. But the other dirty laundry she had picked up smelt even worse than mine.
"Thank you Kizzy, I'll have new sheets and clothes for you before lunch," she said to me as she pushed the cart to the next room.
I went downstairs to the cafeteria to get breakfast. I didn't even bother to read what we were having today, I knew that today wasn't going to be like any other day. Now that Jane's gone with her new family I'm going to be alone again. I haven't been alone for ten years.
"Hey Kizzy, can you help me carry these bags of flour into the kitchen please?" Asked the cook. "They shouldn't be too heavy for you but if they are it's no big deal."
"I'll be fine chef, I'm a strong girl and you know it," I said with a bit of sarcasm, but he didn't mind it he just laughed at me.
I helped carry the bags of flour into the kitchen then after chef asked if I could clean the tables again. I told him yes since I had nothing else to do today. After I was done cleaning everything I went back to my room and laid in my bed until it was time for dinner.
The bell rang telling us it was time for food. Today was spaghettis and meatballs, which was the one thing that tasted good in this place. I pushed the try under my door and decided to put on my new bed sheets.
"HELP ME, SOMEBODY HELP ME!"
I jumped to the sound of yelling. I looked around my room before going up to my door. I looked through the talk hole on my door and saw a girl covered in blood running down the hallway. Two employees were chasing her, one was holding a syringe, the other was holding a bag. As the girl ran she tripped on her blood covered feet and fell in front of my door, dropping a scalpel that was in her hands.
"Hey are you okay?" I asked even though I knew the answer to that already.
"Kizzy? Is that you?" The girl asked looking up at me.
She looked straight into my eyes and that's when I recognized her.
"J-Jane?"
