Chapter 22

"Wait, how did they figure out our plan?" I asked him.

"I don't know, and I don't want to wait for them to wake up to ask, so let's get going downstairs and let your friends in," Axel said walking out the door.

I followed behind him. He limped his was over to the elevator, walking over the two unconscious guards. We walked into the elevator, and when Axel pushed the button for the ground floor the doors didn't close. I pushed the button repeatedly. When nothing happened he let out a frustrated grunt and slammed his fist on the elevator wall. I looked up at him with concern.

"They stopped the elevators, we're going to have to take the stairs down," he said as he let out a sigh.
