She who appears and disappears

Amas in his hospital bed momentarily gazed around and tried to look through the window to catch a glimpse of her, but she wasn't there. For some reason the girl was stuck in his mind and wouldn't leave but not like there was anything he could have done about it, so he decided to look over the fact for a while, which he probably should have as he felt his bladder swell. As he walked using his walker towards the restroom in his hospital cabinet, he heard a knock on the sliding door. He sighed a little and said, "Can you hold on a moment? I gotta take a leak real bad!"

"I wish you to keep those things a secret from now on!" said the mysterious girl and Amas's face turned bright red and he thought, "Great loser now she's gonna think of you as a tiny kid!"

But he pretended to not notice her sweet voice and rather calmly said, "My bad ma'am but I've lost my mind after sleeping three months! You mind waiting a moment?"

"Not at all sir!" replied the girl.

Amas went in and quickly finished his business and walked his walker in the best way he could and said as politely as he could, "Come in, sweetheart!"

The girl walked in with a slight frown on her face as if to ask Amas, "You did not just... did you?" and Amas seemed to avoid the look. He was trying his best to... before their eyes met and both blasted off laughing! The laughters were so loud and uncontrollable that a man had to come in from the next cabinet to tell Amas to tone it down a bit. He just like any good boy would agreed to the old man's request and decided to shut himself up a bit. He turned around and asked her what had brought her to him. She said just thought of stopping by, apparently you're the only one my age in this hospital right now and Amas asked no further afterall finally a girl was visiting him, for the first time in his life. All he could think of was how good his life was at the moment, when she suddenly said, "You can stop with that grin you know, kinda creepy."

And Amas suddenly realised how uncontrollably he had been smiling and his face turned red like a tomato. She then told him that she'd be leaving as she had to look after her grandfather, Amas asked her name to which she responded by saying, "Let's stick with Ms.Hospital and Mr.Dramatic for now. See you around." They were nothing but words , still they had a significant impact on Amas. He was suddenly sitting on his bed with right hand on his chest trying to feel his heartbeat, that was through the roof almost as if someone had used extra large party speakers with music blasting off at highest volume and he could not help bht smile idiotically. His mom then entered his private time and asked,"Did you remember your crush or something?"

and made him realise what he had been doing. It was the third time he had embarrassed himself like that, he replied by just shaking his head and saying, he remembered an anime soundtrack that he loved and made him happy. So his mother suggested he told her which anime was it so that they could watch it together. He was now in a fix, he loved anime no doubt but the problem was there were too many of them.So he just said ,"Mom why not watch something I haven't watched yet... it will bring some freshness along with it." And his mom agreed after all she would not suspect her son who was finally happy, happy after god knows how long! So she just asked him which one did he want out of the latest ones that came out and Amas picked out 'Wonder Egg Priority' some kind of fantasy anime where three friends fought to bring their friends back to life. It seemed good enough to be watched with one's mother, one that would not have much of the ecchi elements that other anime would have, long story short it was a safe choice to make.

After binge watching all the available episodes, both of them were almost in tears. His mother even started to cry at a point, he almost laughed then but he realised how soft his mother was and instead he cleaned her face with a tissue and hugged her, telling her that there was no need to cry over a mere show but he was not the one to speak. If his mother hadn't been there he'd have cried like a baby covering himself in his own snort and he realised that that's why he just hugged her and did not laugh. Finally it was Amas's evening session time, time for rehab! They would've missed it if his mother didn't get a call from the doctor who was eager to have another round with Amas and was well prepared to beat him this time.

"Ah! shit here we go again!" thought Amas before getting up shutting down his laptop and using his walker to march forward towards the rehab center, his heart filled with determination and his eyes yelling, "Sasageyo." his favourite phrase from one of his best anime ever, Attack On Titan.
