First steps into a new but old world

Amas stood up from the bed and looked at the wall clock, "Just in time," he thought and started to walk his way to the washroom to get rid of all the things he ate last night as well as brush his teeth and also to take a bath, so that he did not stink on his first day to the school he was supposed to be at 3 months prior. Just as his mother was coming up to wake him, she witnessed what she thought she'd never see. Amas woke up before her and was following a proper routine, for a moment she thought he was sleep walking and followed him around the house. He finally turned around and said, "Mom! Why are you acting so weird?" To which she replied, "Excuse me! You're the one acting weird here. You never get up on time... are you okay?"

Amas was kind of confused and said, "I just didn't want to be late at such a time. What do you think I should go back to sleep? "

"Of course not! Go get ready." She said with a smile, still partially doubtful it wasn't a dream. She too got back to work, preparing to send Amas off to his first day of school. She was as excited as a child just like Amas but he was also feeling a kind hesitation for some reason. He was still not very sure of going to school, the accident and the time he had lost were still kind of bothering him but he knew he had to start again so he brushed his teeth and took a bath after which he got dressed up. Then he sat at the breakfast table and oh boy was he shocked! He could see possibly every fruit of the season on it everything he liked plus everything he hated. Rather than having it all and wasting his time he just took a toast and drank some tea holding the cup like a British person and gave a little bow to his mother, another one of his special antiques. His mother just gave out a giggle and said, "All of this should be finished by the time I am home."

"what do you think I am? A hyena or something?" said Amas making a reference to the ever hungry hyenas from the Lion King and both of them started laughing. Amas got up and looked at his phone, it was about time he left for his school, he turned around towards his mom and touched her feet as a sign of respect and gratitude for what she had done and also he said, "Bless me mother for I have a war to win."

"You're in my good graces Sir Amas." Replied his mother making a reference to the British knighting ceremony and they both laughed again at this trivial but cute moment. Amas left the main door and knew that his mom was still looking at him so he turned around and told her not to worry with a blink of his eyes. He was planning to walk his way to the school when his mother asked him to look at the gift she had left for him next to the door and looking at it he felt good as well as a felt a bit scared. It was an electric cycle, one he had wanted for a long time but he was too afraid to get on. Still thinking of his mother he hopped on put on the helmet it had hanging on it and checked if the brakes were working. As soon as he checked them he shouted, "Let's go! Bye mom love you!"

He was cycling his way to the school with the rotors on and he saw something he had been missing for past 2 days since they got back. He looked at her and started cycling her way as he shouted, "Hey! Ms.Hospital...." It wasn't long before he realised it wasn't her and embarrased he started to apologise.

That girl responded with, "Don't worry, it's cool. I'm guessing you're the student who got into that accident and is rejoing from today?"

"You're in the same school? Moreover in the same grade? What a coincidence!" respomded Amas. She nodded as if to say, "Indeed." and she started to laugh along with Amas. He got off the cycle and started to walk along with her while walking his bike and asking if he had missed too much of what was being taught. The girl cleared all his queries and told him he better be prepared for the most unexpected things at this school, since it had students who could be real assholes sometimes. This made him feel nervous really nervous, he even thought of returning back to his home but then it'd be a hassle to deal with his mom. So he continued to walk towards the school along with someone he had just met and not long before he finally saw what the girl had meant a moment ago, when a group of three guys came jumping at him and started to push him around saying, "Straightaway trying on the best girl in the school? You've got guts bro."

Amas replied by turning towards the girl and saying, "Now I understand why'd you say that there were a bunch of assholes here. You weren't wrong, I see."

And she started laughing, seeing her laugh he realised she really was beautiful, really beautiful. But it was not the matter then when he turned around he saw those three going their way as one of them turned around and said, "We'll show you later who's an asshole, asshole!"

"Sure butthole!" Replied Amas with a sarcastic smile as the girl beside him was still laughing. He knew he was back to his old world which was a bit new.
