New male colleague...

Taking the pillow from the bed, he was about to move towards the couch when he felt a sudden tug on his wrist..

"Don't…" Katherine whispered lightly, getting a hold on his wrist.

Ethan turned his whole body around abruptly and gave her a confusing look, not understanding what she really wanted to say.

Katherine realised his confusion and thought to elaborate it more, "You don't need to sleep on the couch. This bed is big enough for both of us to spend the night conformably."

Ethan arched both of his eyebrows questioningly at her and asked with a hint of doubt in his voice, "Are you sure about it? I mean.. Won't it be uncomfortable for you to sleep with a man all of a sudden?"

This made Katherine chuckle hard as she replied genuinely, "You are not just any man, but my husband. So it'll not be uncomfortable for me to share a bed with you...

Most importantly, I have enough trust on you to know that you won't ever take any advantage of me in sleep. So there's nothing for me to worry about."

Katherine's words were not only sincere but very much truthful too, which made Ethan stare at her with an unreadable expression on his face.

Noticing him still standing there like a statue, Katherine teased him while wiggling her eyebrows at him playfully, "Now.. Do I need to personally invite you to sleep on your own bed, Mr. Jones?"

Ethan gazed at Katherine with pure amusement in his eyes but soon laughed out loud, noticing her cute expression.

Lying down on his side, he pulled Katherine down, making her also fall on the bed...

Wrapping his arms around her waist, he stared into her eyes deeply and corrected her with a small yet assuring smile on his lips, "It's not only mine, but our bed.. Everything I have, is also yours. So always say ours instead of using the mine word."

Nodding her head at him, Katherine repeated his word while grinning from ear to ear, "Ours.."

Pulling the comforter over their body, Ethan carefully covered Katherine with it and whispered in her ears softly, "Good night, Kathy.."

"Good night, Ethan.." She too whispered back in a low voice.

Smilingly, Ethan placed a small peck on his wife's forehead and went into dreamland while hugging her tightly in his arms.

Katherine kept staring at his handsome face which was looking so relaxed while sleeping.

Her fingers traced the outline of his jaw in a gentle way as her mind drifted to that particular day when everything related to today's change, had actually started to take place in her life..

Two years ago…

It was a beautiful morning when the sun was shining brightly and the wind was blowing soundly, making the atmosphere extremely pleasant..

A girl in her mid twenties, was getting ready in her bedroom for her office when she heard a knock on the door.

Keeping the hairbrush on the dressing table, she took the rubber band in her hand and tied her long, silky brunette hair into a beautiful ponytail.

"The door is open, Mom." The girl shouted loudly so that her mother could be able to hear her voice from the other side.

Soon she heard the opening sound of the door and her mother walked in with a glass of juice in her hand.

Placing it on the bedside table, Mrs. Blackwood sat on the bed and informed her daughter, "Kathy.. Today, one of your Grandpa's friend is coming to visit him. So can you please take an early leave and come back home before evening?"

Katherine who was now applying a thin layer of eyeliner on her eyelids, didn't turn around and said while looking into the mirror, "Sure Mom.. In fact, I don't have much work in office today. So it'll not be a problem for me to take an early leave."

"That's good to hear. By the way, you're looking really beautiful in this dress." Mrs. Jones said while looking over at her daughter's appearance.

Katherine was wearing a simple black high waist, belted loose pant with a white printed T-shirt..

She had an almost no make-up look with just a little bit of foundation, eyeliner and nude lipstick.

A heart shape earrings were dangling on her ears while her wrist was adorned with a beautiful watch. She combined her whole look with a pair of black heels and a medium size handbag which was enough for her to keep all her necessities for her work.

Although her attire was pretty simple but still it couldn't hide her alluring beauty which was glorifying like a shining star..

"Thanks Mom.. By the way, is dad still in home?" Katherine asked her mother while keeping her sunglasses inside her bag.

"Yes.. He's waiting for you downstairs as he can't leave for his office without seeing your face." Her mother replied while rolling her eyes at her.

Katherine chuckled at her mother's antics and said, "Obviously Mom.. He thinks that I'm his lucky charm."

"Well, I agree with that. You're indeed our lucky charm who has brought lots of happiness in our world." Her mother agreed with a nod.

"I know right!" Giving a playful wink at her mother, Katherine quickly gulped down the juice.

Handing over the glass to her mother, she said, "Mom.. I'm already getting late. Let's see you in the evening then."

Mrs. Blackwood just nodded her head and said, "Okay, bye. Don't forget to kiss your dad goodbye before leaving."

"Absolutely Mom.." Katherine said and left hurriedly after giving a peck on her mother's cheek.

Mrs. Jones just kept smiling at her daughter's cuteness and started arranging her bed...

Few hours later…

Katherine stretched her hands, coming out of her office with Olivia beside her.

Both of them were going to a nearby café to have their lunch when Olivia suddenly asked, "Did you see the new boy who had joined our office yesterday?"

Furrowing her eyebrows in confusion, Katherine asked, "Which boy? I don't even know that our company has hired any new employee. And here you are asking me about the so called new male colleague?"

Olivia narrowed her eyes at her best friend and scowled in extreme disappointment, "This is the reason why you're still single, Kathy. Because you never look at any guys."

"You are saying like you already have one?" Katherine mocked her friend, rolling her eyes.

Olivia just groaned in irritation and said, "Come on! Now don't bring that topic out all over again."

"Well, honey.. Let me remind you that it's not me, but you who had started with this so called boyfriend topic." Kathrine teased while, putting her hand around Olivia's shoulder.

Olivia huffed and was about to say something when suddenly she bumped into someone, making her almost fall on her butt..
