CHAPTER 17

A woman had three children, all boys. They were aged thirteen years, seven years and three months old respectively. Her husband had travelled and wasn't around.

The woman had put some hot water into the bath outside in the compound and was removing the clothes of the baby as she laid him on his stomach on her legs while she was sitting.

The two boys were at the other end of the compound. They elder one took a knife and laid the younger one down on the floor.

He put his hands together and stepped on it to hold him while he out the knife on his neck and cut him till blood gushed out and he was dead.

When he was done, he called to his mother and told her to see, he was practicing how his dad used to kill chicken.

On sighting blood gushing out from the neck of her son, she screamed in shock as she got up, falling the child into the hot water who died also.

On seeing the reaction of his mother, he ran out of the house out of fear that she would beat him.
