THE HAUNTED CHILD

For a week, Marvel had been down. She missed school for two days because she got sick. Her emotional weakness affected her spiritually, physically and mentally.


   She was placed on drugs at home till she recovered. She didn't tell her parents the cause of her illness but they knew she was depressed. They had taken it to be fever that was disturbing her.


   They did everything to get her out of her situation. Michelle came over to visit but she didn't wanted seeing her. She pretended to be asleep each time she came.


   Marvel was to go back to school the next day as she had recovered a bit but she didn't know how to face her weakness which was Collins.


   She removed the necklace from her neck and held it in her hands as she remembered when he gave it to her.


   He gave it to her as a gift and told her to always put it on as long as they dated. He had put it on her neck and since then, she never took it off.
