Lusha

I found myself back in Samael's apartment at the heart of Dis City, Pandemonium's business district bordering the Hellopolis.

Lucifer intently made a well in a mound of flour, then cracked two eggs in. He whisked them in, licking his lip in consternation.

"See, this is what Italian nonnas do. A simple combination of flour and egg… but we are adding spinach to the dough. You try."

I did, molding it with my hands. "God bless Anthony Bourdain."

"Yes, Devil bless my favorite chef. I too enjoy balut."

Lucifer wrapped his hands on mine, his hot, bandaged chest pressed against my back. He kissed my ear, and we ended up with a yolk yellow roll of pasta.

He reached above my five foot nothing curl of red hair and took down a green Cabernet Sauvignon wine bottle. Placing it in my hand, after he had mixed a bag of stemless spinach in the industrial food mixer, Lucifer helped me roll out the dough.
