Inter Domanial Competition III

Back at the gate, master Wen Xu and Zagan had been waiting for quite some time. Surprisingly, the grandmaster being someone of little patience, actually waited patiently for someone to get the gate opened. Zagan was a little surprised at this gesture of his.

After waiting for a while with no hope of anyone coming, Zagan wanted to persuade the grandmaster to head back. Moreover, the sun was scorching hot and Zagan could not help but feel a little worried.

As if having the same thought, the grandmaster spoke up. "I don't think anyone would be coming anytime soon. It's best if we head back for now besides, we were the ones that came late."

Zagan nodded in agreement. It would be best if they head back if not today would just be a waste. He was a little dissatisfied nevertheless, what more could they do?

They made a turn and began to walk away. And just when they had walked seven steps away, the gate made a cracking sound which instantly drew both their attentions. They turned to see who was at the gate and it appeared that luck was on their side. Someone had appeared at the gate.

A young boy opened the gate and bowed to the grandmaster after which the grandmaster received it with a slight nod. Thankfully, they had not gone far and Titan was able to get to them on time.

She ushered them in then turned on the gate protection again before leading them to the field.

On getting there, the event has already started and students were grouped in eights. Zagan and Titan were left to complete the last group but there was someone else. Angela Wick had arrived late to the field because she was handling some work. So practically, the three of them were left. Seeing that the last group needed two additional people to make the team complete, Titan stepped back and allowed Angela to participate.

Noticing this, Birtle's eye flickered and in no time, the sound of someone groaning in pain was heard. Birtle did something to one of the contestants in his group to create space for Titan. He wanted to have her in the same group as himself so that he could test the strength of this boy attending an all-girls school.

Not too long after the injured student was carried away, he called out to Titan.

"Hey, sissy! Why don't you join us? We are short of one student anyway. Or is this your plan of buying your way to the finals?"

'How annoying!' Titan thought and rolled her eyes then walked up to the group.

At this time, many people didn't pay attention to Zagan because of the crowd. But the people in his group were astounded by his superb looks. Although his hair was cut, he still looked amazing.

Moreover, it had been about ten years since he saw Titan and because he only met her briefly, he didn't remember her at all. Angela Wick was happy to be in this group. Of course, she was going to do her best to reach the finals with this beautiful male just to prove her strength.

This level was meant to be a fight between all eight contestants in each group. The last person in each group would advance to the next round.

The headmaster sat on the upper level with some other masters while students sat in groups. This setting was equivalent to the medieval tournament setting. There were many groups, all with eight members obviously, this would take longer than expected. So the students were divided into segments on the field creating more space for each one of them. Thankfully, the field was big, and was able to occupy all of them.

Some guardians stood with their disciples to coach them for the fight. Soon, the tournament began.

All eight contestants in each group battled amongst themselves. The people from the soul academy didn't do anything they simply sat at a corner, waiting for the others to fight amongst themselves. And even when they got attacked, their attackers barely reached three steps before clenching their chest in agony. They didn't attack one's body but their soul.

The students from the kai academy, on the other hand, were impenetrable because they were made of water. While the shapeshifters were very tricky. This minute, they were jellyfish the next, shapeshift and come to be as hard as a rock.

The windbreakers could soar high up in the sky and they didn't have to worry about anything as they could attack from the sky.

Those from the Shaolin temple were good at too many things. They could create a portal that could invite beasts to fight alongside them. They could also control the sun when they acted in unison; bringing forth complete darkness when they feel the need to.

The stardust academy was the most elegant. Their beauty was enchanting that no one could attack without getting lost in the deep abyss of enchantment. But that wasn't what was important. Fragments of their stardust could materialize into weapons of their choice.

The robotics were out of the question. Those things were simply indestructible and incredibly fast. As soon as an attack came in their direction, they would easily evade it as if they had calculated every move. They had no soul making it impossible for the soul academy students to attack them.

The hosts were simply all-rounders. They could control the five basic elements of the world which were: fire, water, air, earth, and even metal. They fought with all their might and strength. They were incredibly receptive and their dexterity was extraordinary.

Zagan on the other hand had a one-man still. At first, he was intimidated by the people he saw but to his surprise, he was still standing after so long and found it quite easy to take down some competitors.

The first group of competitors that went down was the kai academy. Surprisingly, as soon as one of them fell, the others followed it seemed as though they were connected at that point. Taking them down was quite easy as the hosts had control over water and could easily control them.

The fight continued and it was getting heated as every second passed. Titan didn't have any angle of concentration. she simply fought with whomever she felt like battling. Zagan on the other hand was entangled with Angela Wick it wasn't certain if she was trying to show off her fighting skills or fighting for the main cause. Unfortunately for her, she was knocked out. Although Zagan showed her mercy by going easy on her, she still fell miserably. Second individual to fall. How embarrassing.

The combat went on for hours with different contestants falling as time went by. Finally, it was down to just four contestants. Birtle, Zagan, a girl from the soul academy and of cause, Titan.

Seeing that they were only four left, they were splitted into two. Titan and Birtle were to fight against each other while Sallie, the girl from the soul academy was meant to fight against Zagan.

First up, was Titan and Birtle. Standing in front of the large audience, Birtle looked at Titan mockingly.

"Little boy, unfortunately, all you've got is your good looks asides from that, you've got nothing. You're no match for me and I advise you back down now before things get ugly. I honestly wouldn't want to hurt that pretty face of yours and trust me I won't go easy on you."

All Titan did was stare at him with a sly smile on her lips. Up until this time, she had not found anyone so challenging as she had not fought to the best of her abilities yet and she couldn't deny that she was secretly happy that she'd have the opportunity to kick this guy's butt.

Seeing her give the silent treatment to him, Birtle felt that Titan was arrogantly mocking him and therefore, he was triggered.

"Are you mute or something?" He was really furious but even at this, Titan didn't even bat an eyelid. He charged forward with all of his night to take her down in one go but unfortunately, the reverse was the case.

Titan sensed this treat and with her hands at her back, she generated a ball of red fire. Just as Birtle was about to launch his attack, Titan released the ball of fire sending Birtle miles away from the tournament field, and just like that, with one hit, Birtle out of the game before he was even able to begin.
