Rearing His Ugly Head

The large cargo doors lowered allowing the light to seep in, light that we hadn't seen in almost elven hours. Needless to say our eyes had adjusted to the much dimmer inside of the plane. As the light engulfed us, we shunned, or at least I did. It was one thing to have yours eyes adjust to the dark, then readjust again rapidly, but for me it was far worse. I was basically blind, my eyes had adjusted, yes, but not the normal way. Usually, one would be able to see a little better, nothing much, but I could see everything as if it were day. So when the light flooded in, it was like a flash bang, I literally couldn't see. It was fine though, as I had on a mask, and I had foregone the lights touch with everyone else.
