As the red mana flooded my eyes, viscus and uncomfortable, the black wouldn't fade but instead they would work in tandem. The darkness that existed soon took form, as the world seemed to become dimly lit from all directions.
As I looked closer, I could see faint organic constructs flowing around me, solid and familiar, roots. They would provide dim light that made everything visible. It was an interesting view among the auras and shady backdrop, but I couldn't find a practical application for it. I didn't even know what I was looking at, I had an idea, but it was still useless.
I did continue to fill my eyes with the viscus mana though, a decision I'm glad I made. The dimly lit environment soon lost its composure and allowed me a view past. It was hard to distinguish at first, but I soon figured it out. Looking down I could see a multitude of small and large flames. Then looking even further, I was staring into the abyss.
