One hundred years after superpowers have become commonplace, generations have seemingly adopted and lived in a chaotic superhuman society run by heroes and villains. In said society, countless heroes strive to climb to rise to old legends, but this isn't their story. Instead, we are here to shine a light on the literal worst of the worst, a team of criminals, outcasts, and misfits that struggle to survive in this mad world. After all, when you're already at the bottom, it makes sense to focus only on The Cons.

The Cons

And that's a massive wrap! Thank you guys so much for supporting The Cons. Over 7k at the time of this post after a full month isn't half bad. But unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Writing thousand-odd words per day is rough for your boy, so for the time being, my post time can be a little inconsistent.


But honestly probably means like three-ish days in Donniedrako15 time anyway, so don't worry. Plus, this gives me a lot of time proofreading and editing. I prefer quality over quantity, even if it means getting farther from my goal of 100k words, and I also want to avoid some serious burnout.


Right now, here's my loose idea on what's to come. After the Lower Levels Arc (this arc), I'll be focusing my endeavors on some more fun side chapters designed to get a way better view of each prominent character's powers and abilities from the arc without interrupting the flow of the main story.


This will serve as a very short volume 2, and volume 3 (the real volume 2) will be called the Middle-Level arc, which will focus on more episodic style storytelling and a bit more development on previously laid out material sprinkled in from the first arc.


Finally, I'm more than happy to introduce the Q and A concept if you guys would like! I'll happily do one or multiple as long as I get anywhere from 10-20 questions. It all depends.


Depending on the questions, I bet I could also focus on the character's answering questions related to them and another more focused on the whole behind-the-scenes and writing process. Either way, I'd love to do something like this in the future.


Either way, it's been a good ride. Please keep sharing, reading, and giving honest feedback on my work. I appreciate, and as I said before, even if I don't win, I would like to improve as a writer. Since the Cons has been a story coming a long time, I'll be glad if you all enjoy what's to come.
