Thoughts Of Her

Her dark green eyes look dirty.

The same look a fresh corpse would wear.

"Who are you"?

She sounds tired.

I understand, I am as well.

"I already told you".

"Just a travelling old man, who tends to travel alone".

I give her a smile.

She scowls, as she senses no trace of a lie, from the blatant untruth.

"Slavery is bad, they were going to hurt me, so I went West".

"I listen when the elders speak, I walk away from trouble".

"I never even knew about 'noise' until I went into the Meru".

"Why did you go in"?

"I wanted to meet God".

Her scowl darkens.

I guess religous people are a rarety.

"I prefer not to talk about myself under the threat of death... does this present a problem for tonight's plans"?

Her blank face makes me smile from ear to ear.

She is gorgeous.

"I told you I'll give you everything, just because you want it".
