Preparations

I dreamt of her and I am happy that I did. Someone's shaking me and when I open my eyes, it was Ralph, fully dressed.

"Wake up Adam. Lucy wants to see you now." There's an urgency in his voice.

"Now? For what?"

"She said she wants to talk to you directly. Up now!" Ordered Ralph then went out of my room.

I checked my phone if there's a message from Raine.

"Morning Adam, I love you."

I replied back smiling, "Hey pretty. <3"

We arrived at the recording studio at 10 a.m. Ms. Lucy is waiting for us in the board room. She was smiling at me when we enter the room.

"Adam! It's nice to see you again. Sit down."

"It's good to see you too Ms. Lucy, thank you."

"Have a great vacation?"

"Yes thank you."

"Well, I know that you have no idea why I summoned you here. Well, I was kinda hoping that the songs you have uploaded on Youtube will be included in your next album. What do you think?" She's looking at me with a bright smile on her face.

"That's, that's wonderful ma'am. Thank you." I got excited.

"And, I was planning to give you your first solo concert. If it's ok with you?"

I was shocked. "Really? As in Ma'am?" I am looking at her then at Ralph and back at her.

"Of course. Enough of these roadshows, your fans deserve better than just a roadshow. This will be your present for them."

I can't contain my happiness. My heart is hammering inside my chest. Finally! A solo concert. My solo concert! After all these years, it's finally happening!

"Of course. Ms. Lucy, thank you for supporting and believing in me." I said with a bow.

"You know that's alright. You deserve it. You worked so hard for that and I am thankful that you're the same, humble Adam I knew. Thank you for being true to us always." She stood up and offer me a handshake.

I immediately texted Raine and told her about the plan and she's very happy about it. She even promised me that she will watch my concert.

My mum was also excited about my first ever solo concert. She gave me her full support for it.

My life's blur again. After 3 days of recording my instrumental album, I had my photoshoots and shooting for my endorsements. And our preparation for the concert is on a full blast.

Raine's still sad about the wedding but has high hope that everything will go as has been planned. Their preparation for the wedding had started already.

3 days before the wedding, I get the chance to bring her to my rehearsal. She was herself again. Laughing at my dancing. (I am required to dance, really!) She really loves it when I play the piano.

"Try Enchanted. Please!" She begs when we're given a 30 minutes break.

"Ok." I smiled and started playing. I memorize the song because this is her favorite.

"There I was again tonight, forcing laughter faking smile. The same old tired lonely place. Walls of insincerity, shifting eyes and vacancy, vanish when I saw your face. All I can say is that it was, enchanting to meet you.." She was looking at my fingers as I played.

"You're really good." She commented teasingly. I smiled and continue.

"You're eyes whispered have we met. Across the moonlit silhouette. Starts to make its way to me. The playful conversation starts, counting all your quick remarks like passing notes in secrecy. All I can say is that it was, enchanting to meet you."

This is the perfect song about how we met. Really. I haven't grasp its meaning when I am trying to memorize this song. But now I know why she loves this song. This song is our song, the song of how we met.

"Sing this part for me," I said when I reach the bridge part.

She nodded. Everyone's watching us, while others filming our singing.

"This was the very first page, not where the storyline ends. My thoughts will echo your name until I see you again. These are the words I held back, as I was leaving so soon. I was enchanted to meet you." She smiled at me. "Please don't be in love with someone else, please don't have somebody waiting on you."

"I won't." I mouthed at her.

Everyone applauds after we finished singing. Mike, our musical director pat me in the back. "She should be included in your concert! She has a wonderful voice."

"Yeah, Mike. I thought of that too. Well, Raine?" I looked at her.

"Me? In your concert?" She was so shocked about the idea.

"Yes! You and Adam can sing this song! You'll be the final act of the evening!"

She looked at me as if thinking deeply. Then she smiled. "I guess? Sure!" Answered Raine.

"Great!!"

I hugged her and she smiled at me. "Me at your concert!" She said.

"Yes! You!" We laugh together.

Today is the wedding and I've canceled all my engagements for the day. His father had secretly coordinated with police about the entrapment operation that will occur at the wedding. Monique's invited as her bridesmaid. She was already at the venue with Raine. She's updating me with all the happenings on the occasion. Businessmen and businesswomen came pouring as the start of the ceremony draw near. This is really the biggest wedding of the year for the business sector.

Ralph and I were parked outside the venue. They were having a garden wedding, and we were just waiting for Monique's message. We spotted Arthur and his men. It looks like he was giving instructions to them. And after their meeting, those men have manned their station including the entrance.

"If we don't move now, we will never get to the ceremony," I said to Ralph.

"Don't worry, Monique and her friends have diversions planned. Relax! Everything will be fine." Ralph assured me.

Then a woman in her early 40s came into us and knocked on the car window "Adam?"

I rolled down my window. "Yes ma'am?"

"I am Raine's mother. I'm counting on you two. The entrapment operation is already set. Your participation in this operation is important. It will be the signal for the police."

"Yes ma'am." I nodded at her.

"And just so you know, those men, they were looking out for you. You might not get past them but Monique already has a plan for that. Wait for her text."

"Yes, I will. Thank you." I said politely.

"No, thank you, Adam. If not for you, we are still under Arthur's father." Then she walked away.
