We were on the move, and a part of me believed that Asher was coming for me. At the same time, I felt like hanging on to false hope was the dumbest thing to do.
I could picture myself with her. Reunited so that she could continue to destroy me.
My captor wasn't driving this time, and we were seated at the backseat of a small black car. I managed to remain calm in the uncomfortable silence, but every part of me was screaming at me to make a move.
