Please find me

Aisha.

It smells strange.

It's cold.

My chest hurts.

I open my eyes slowly, with bated breath. I sit up, feeling every part of my body burning and examine the place where I am, there are thousands of graves, and behind me a mausoleum.

A cemetery.

"Miss?" I become alert when I hear a voice calling me. I look at a man, he is a little older, his hair is white and his clothes are dirty. "How did you got in?"

I see him analyzing me and I take a step back.

"Stay away!" I order nervously.

"Are you on drugs?" he frowns.

I deny nervously and step back further as I watch him walk towards me.

"Don't come any closer!" my voice sounds shakier than I intend.

"I'll take you to the police."

And that's when I run, he calls me again and again, but panic floods my system. I run between the gravestones and crash into the huge entrance gate.

"Everette!" I call out in desperation.

He asked me not to let go of his hand.

Why was I so stupid?!

I tug several times until I manage to pull the metal bars off. I was petrified when I saw what I did.

I'm not human, I have to remember that, even though I'm not a demon yet, it was obvious that this body would be stronger than a human.

I get out of that place and run down the street, I feel the pavement at my feet, I have no idea what I look like right now, but all I want is to find Everette.

"Camille!" they grab my arm abruptly and I turn around.

"What?" I mumble in confusion.

"What the hell are you doing here!?" she exclaims.

A girl with long, curly brown hair and light green eyes looks at me as if I were a ghost. Her face is too symmetrical, all of her screams perfection and peace.

Now I'm seeing things.

"Excuse me?" I let go of her grip and step back a little.

"Your mother is looking for you like crazy, I had to lie to cover for you."

"I'm not Camille." I frown.

"Stop saying nonsense." she rolls her eyes. "If you don't come with me, your mother will find out what we did last night."

"And what the hell happened last night!?" I exclaim in exasperation.

"God, I'm sure you drank too much, you still look like you're drunk." she takes my hand and starts walking.

"Where are we going?"

"To your house, and remember, if your mother asks, we fell asleep in the library."

We cross a huge building, in one of the windows I can see my reflection.

It's still me, I don't understand why they call me Camille. This girl could be an impostor, or maybe I am the impostor, the uncertainty eats me alive.

In my reflection I see it, the necklace Everette gave me, and the little snake charm.

Please find me.

I am frightened.

I need you.

The girl walks determinedly, her clothes consist of jeans, tennis shoes and a shirt.

I've been in Hell for so long, that seeing her wearing that seems strange to me.

The pain in my chest becomes present, I stop suddenly and make a grimace, the girl looks at me strangely.

"It hurts..." I assure her.

"When you're home you can rest." she promises.

If only she knew that my house is quite far from here.

I sit up again and the girl continues on her way, after several minutes we enter a place where there are only houses, some are huge and others more modest.

She stops at a particularly medium-sized one, opens the gate and enters, then stops a few steps away from the door and knocks.

"What...?" I try to ask.

The door bursts open, a lady with blue eyes and light brown hair is standing in front of us.

"Camille!" she shrieks.

Damn it, I'm not Camille!

"Sorry it took so long." my companion apologizes with a quiet smile. "We fell asleep in the library and returned as soon as possible."

The lady raises an eyebrow and looks me up and down.

"Why are you dressed like that?" she asks.

I make a grimace when I notice her contemptuous attitude, Everette gave me the dress, she doesn't have to act as if I was wearing a sack of potatoes.

"We were playing a character, we didn't have time to return the dress." shrugs the girl.

I raise an eyebrow in her direction. This girl lies so easily, if she's constantly like that, I'm sure we'll see each other in Hell.

The lady sighs and hugs me.

She.

Is.

Touching.

Me.

"You scared me dear, don't be gone all night again." she murmurs.

" I'm sorry..." I apologize uncomfortably.

Why does her touch bother me?

I was once human too, there's nothing wrong with that. I think I've spent too much time with demons who repel their existence.

"Very well." she breaks off. "Go to your room and rest, I'm sure you're exhausted." she smiles sideways and looks at the girl.

"Thank you for walking her home."

"It was my pleasure" she smiles and says goodbye to me with a wink.

Yes, I will definitely see you in Hell.

I walk slowly through the house, it's quite nice, it has a lot of light colors, for some reason I feel it lacks a touch of black.

"My room..." I murmur trying to find out where I'm suppose to go.

She smiles and nods.

"You can go and get some rest." she shakes her head involuntarily in the direction of the stairs, so I have an idea of where it is.

I nod self-consciously and walk up these, in the human world I'm probably still considered a teenager, so I open door after door until I find the most youthful one.

I enter this one, I don't even stop to analyze the place, I just plop down on the bed and sigh.

Will Everette take long to find me?

If I thought my human instinct was the dominant one before, now I realize how wrong I was, he managed to make my demonic instinct come to the fore without me even realizing.

I just want to go home.

I snort and roll my eyes.

I'm suppose to feel like I'm home, I was begging for so long to come back to the human world, and now that I'm here all I want to do is go back to Hell.

I turn and rest my gaze on the ceiling, I startle as I feel a movement on my skin, the little snake from the charm comes to live, crawls up and falls next to me.

"I'm sure you don't know where Everette is." I say to it.

It just shakes its golden head as it watches me, then crawls a short distance away from my face.

I smile slightly as a tear falls down my cheek.

(...)

"Wake up!" I fall out of bed and stand up in fright, the girl from yesterday afternoon giggles and I glare at her.

Pathetic joke.

"What's your problem?" I ask irritated.

"We have to go to classes." she announces.

Classes?

Do I have to take lessons to be human?

"I don't think those classes are for me."

"The institute is not for anyone, yet everyone must go. Hurry up and take a shower, I'll wait for you downstairs."

She leaves the room.

Great, of all lives, I had to get the one of a teenager. I sigh and walk into the bathroom, step into the shower and turn on the faucet, when the water runs down I scream and turn it off.

Too hot.

I decide to turn on the other one, getting extremely cold water.

Damn it!

I'm totally incompetent even to take a shower, it can't be possible that I've completely lost my human ways.

I don't even remember my life here, who I was or whatever. I don't care much either, I just want to get the hell out.

After several attempts, I finally get the water temperature to be acceptable, I get out wrapped in a towel and my heart skips a beat when I see a guy sitting on the bed.

I scream in panic and start throwing everything in my reach at him.

"Stay away!" I order, frightened. "If you come near me, Everette will kill you! He will torture your soul for eternity! Don't you dare come near me! You humans never think before you act!" I shrieked.

"I just wanted to ask you for your music player!"

I stop abruptly.

My what?

"Music player?"

The black-haired, brown-eyed boy looks at me in annoyance, then reaches over to the table next to the bed and picks up a small bucket.

"Your player." he says obviously. "And what's that about, us humans?"

I nervously deny, he just rolls his eyes and leaves the room.

I sigh in relief and walk to the closet, I guess I can use some clothes, I'll return them soon. I grab a jean, I don't really know what shirt to wear so I grab whatever and a pair of shoes.I have no idea what style they are.

I comb my hair and leave the room, walk along the hallway and down the stairs meeting the girl and the woman that claims to be my mother.

"Finally..." she rolls her eyes. "We are leaving now, Mrs. Blair."

"See you soon Ava." smiles the lady and comes up to give me a kiss on the cheek, I grimace, disguised by a smile. "Be careful."

I walk to the exit accompanied by the girl, who I now know answers to the name of Ava.

We walk a bit in silence until her laughter interrupts him.

"Last night was crazy." she assures me.

"Of course." I have no idea what happened.

"What's the name of the guy you got involved with?" she asks mischievously.

I open my eyes exaggeratedly.

"I would be incapable of being with anyone but Everette!" I exclaim indignantly.

"Everette?" she asks confused while raising an eyebrow. "It's a rather strange name. Is it foreign?"

"Something like that." I mutter tiredly.

"If you don't want him..." she hints.

"Are you even thinking of keeping him? I'd kill you." I say seriously.

"I was joking." she laughs.

Of course, it's impossible to joke about it, once you look at Everette it's impossible not to want him.

"Just point me to this institute where I can learn to be a human again." I roll my eyes.

"Camille dear, I think you drank too much." she smiles sideways.

After a few blocks I see the building, it is full of young humans, some girls are in groups, some boys are watching me lustfully as well as my companion.

"Humans really go by appearances..." I mutter remembering what Everette told me in my first day in Hell, without being aware that Ava will hear me.

"Stop referring to humans as if you are not one. What are you now? A mermaid?"

"It's just a joke." I smile sideways.

She nods unconvinced and I bump into someone, when she looks up I find the guy sitting on the bed in the room where I sleep.

"Finally you show up, Camille." he smiles.

" The stalker!" I shriek and start to run.

"Hey!" the girl calls out to me. "What's wrong with you, Camille?!"

"God damn it!" I stop and look at them angrily. "My name is not Camille!"

They both stare at me in astonishment and I walk away from them, enter the building and get lost in the crowd of students as I bump into several of them.

It's been more than a day already.

Where are you Everette?

Why do they call me like that?

All I want is to see his smile, his sarcastic smile that is devilishly perfect, I want to see his slanted when he is smiling, I want to see his sexy body and hear her orgasmic voice.

I just want to go back to Everette.

I don't care if it's the mark talking, before I had her I always felt safe next to him.

I will always feel safe next to him.

The pain in my chest suffocates me and I stop.

"Camille?" I curse under my breath and turn in the direction of the call. Ava takes my hand and hugs me, a little awkwardly I reciprocate. "It's just a rough morning, let's go to class."

I sigh and nod as she guides me around the place.

There is something different about this girl, maybe when she dies she will be a Celestial, or maybe as I thought before, she will go to Hell. I don't know what it is, but I feel that there is something very different about her, something makes her stand out among the other mortals.

We enter a classroom and she sits next to me, I sigh and just listen patiently until the old human stops talking.

Subatomic particles?

I can assure you that none of that will save him from rotting in hell for seeing the cleavage of his female students.
