Everette.

The claws of a demon are one of our best weapons, each one of them is unique and completely unbreakable, they have a poison that varies depending on the demon, some can paralyze for hours, others can make you experience the deepest of agonies, my claws can do whatever I want, I can simply tear apart again and again the demons, then I wait for them to regenerate and destroy them once again, it is something very relaxing.

Which I am considering doing right now.

"Very well, we can make this very easy, you tell me which demon allowed the beast to be released, I go and take care of him and that will be the end of this misunderstanding, or we can do it my way." I smile wickedly.

I have in front of me all the guards of the demonic cells, the only way a Celestial could have managed to free the beast is if one of them allowed it, and I am fully prepared to find out who did it.

"G-gra-great Dark Master, I swear to you that we would never..."

"Silence!" I interrupt. "I hope you are not insinuating that I am wrong..."

"Never, Great Dark Master." they say in unison.

They are all on their knees on the ground with their gaze lowered, I see how their demonic energy is irregular because of fear.

"I feel very confused." I admit after observing them. "I was fully confident that the existence of every demon in Hell was centered on the pleasure of watching human souls agonize. That is why each one of us exists, my father has been in charge of giving each demon its place. However now I find out that someone is collaborating with a Celestial to overthrow him."

"I can swear by my mark, Great Dark Master, that none of us here have had any contact with Celestials for millennia, we respect Lucifer's authority and we feel very grateful to be ruled by him, I beg you to reconsider the variables. Perhaps there is some other way that the celestial has managed to get here." the head of the demonic guard tells me.

Variables.

One of them could be that Hell's security failed, some Celestial managed to get in without arousing suspicion and thus free the beast, but I absolutely refuse to even consider that.

Hell's security cannot simply be evaded.

"I think it would be unfair to simply dump this whole matter on you..." I concede. "However, I might consider removing your privileges of guarding the Infernal beasts, since this incident occurred under your supervision."

"We beg you not to do so, Dark Master." your voices tremble.

"Perhaps you might consider dismembering us!" suggests one of them enthusiastically.

That would be an entertaining punishment, but I can't really afford to tear off their limbs for now, I have to report the events to my father immediately and spread the news of the intention to overthrow him.

"I'll let it pass for this time." I muttered listlessly.

"You are a vile and despicable being, Great Dark Master!" they kneel with gratitude.

"Save your praise, make sure this does not happen again." I order to leave the place and head for my father's abode.

"May the darkness be on your path." they all say.

"And guide my destiny."

I concentrate on materializing the Infernal beast in its cell, where it can be free and yet contained, after that I materialize outside the Infernal caves and reappear right in front of Diablo's great palace.

I know that my father will feel my presence in a matter of seconds, but I decide to anticipate him and I materialize in his throne room, and there he is, sitting with all the arrogance that characterizes him, but that he always differs before the celestials.

If we demons are known for anything, it is for being very pretentious.

But can someone blame us?

It's not our fault that we are the most powerful beings in all the realms, nor is it our fault that we are a damned mental sin for the masses.

"Son, as usual you never disappoint me, I have been informed that the beast is once again under our domain. Personally I thought it would take you a month, however it only took you a week. I am indebted to you, feel free to request whatever you wish." he smiles proudly, a gesture that disappears when he notices my serious and cautious countenance.

"How are you, father?" I ask coldly.

"I'm in Hell, wonderfully of course." he replies obviously.

"Well, I'm afraid your outlook is not wonderful."

"What do you mean?" he asks curiously.

"Someone will try to assassinate you, father." I blurt out.

A mischievous laugh comes from him, he gets up from his throne and walks towards me with a relaxed air.

"That sounds delicious." he pats me comfortingly. "But although the idea of experiencing death sounds extremely entertaining, I'm afraid it won't be possible, since we are immortal."

And here is my father, again taking important things as irrelevant.

"I guess I didn't explain myself in the best way. Whoever released the Infernal beast managed to wound it, has its blood, and as far as we know a Celestial...."

"Son." he interrupts me, I hate, curse, banish those who interrupt me. "If you believe that the security of Hell has been breached by a Celestial, we will request a meeting with them, or even better, you can personally take care of the matter and go to the realm of the Celestials, being half celestial you can enter without any problem. "

I roll my eyes in exasperation.

"Are you really taking this as an excuse for me to see mother in the heavenly realm? If I didn't know you well enough I would say that you want me to leave Hell and perform my right as a Celestial."

His almost fleeting expression of panic fills me with satisfaction.

"We both know that you love being the prince of Hell and heir of darkness, this place would be in chaos without your leadership, and not in a good way, I simply know that your mother has been longing to see you for decades, and you know perfectly well that she cannot enter Hell until the next millennium."

"That's because the celestials think they are superior to everyone." I mock as I watch him return and take a seat once again in his throne.

Life, Death, come now.

Both materialize in front of us, the surprised gesture of seeing a celestial in front of him is evident in my father.

"Well, well..." he laughs in a tetric way. "But if it isn't Life."

She immediately bows to Devil, I am sure that his demonic presence makes her tremble, but I brought her here as a representative of her entire kingdom, this way I will avoid setting foot in the Celestial realm, the last thing I need right now is for Aisha to be influenced by them.

"Great Lucifer, I apologize for being present in your domain without first having consulted with your majesty, however his royal highness, the prince of Hell firmly requested me to be present, I still do not know his motives." she says, with a calm but firm voice.

"Life dear, formalities are not very necessary when you are the mother of a demonic being, you know you are welcome, what confuses me is how your heavenly superiors authorized your trip here." answers my father.

She looks down ashamed and Death takes a step forward.

"They were not informed of her journey here, Lucifer." my friend's voice is laden with respect.

My father nods slowly as he analyzes the situation.

"That will get us into trouble..." he mutters and then looks at me. "I don't know how you do it, but every time you make me feel prouder."

I laugh along with him and notice how the tension of Life and Death decreases considerably.

"Her presence here will be indefinite, until we manage to solve the problem of the beast and his stolen blood." I inform.

"Handle the situation as you see fit, my existence is in your hands, Everette." Devil smiles.

"Since when hasn't it been?" I question ironically.
