That son of a bitch really made it hard for me to avoid him or even function without him, especially in the palace. As Bang-Won did his best to still make my life harder in the palace, Seon-Ho became my saviour now as my fiancé; that was my status before he left so he was well in his right to use it I guess. After the last mission he was sent on he had now begun to climb the ranks quickly in the military. In just a few short years he had already become the army general; and no one dared to argue back. I do not know how he knew about every little mishap I had been through but he had actually gathered all of the supervisors who had abused me, my colleges who tried to frame me in every way and servants below me who tried to trip me up at my every step and tortured all of them before my eyes...just as his father would have. I was still broken and depressed but I wasn't blind; I clearly saw the pain he was in and he needed healing. This stupid war had set him back almost all of the progress that he had made. Both sexes were forbidden to touch each other in public but that didn't stop him from reaching out to me and grabbing me by the hand and threw me into his office and locking the door behind us before stripping me of my clothes...no matter what we were going through we both still had a year to make up for. When he didn't keep me in his office as much as he could he even came into the palace when he didn't need to just to kepis eye on me personally; he made it extremely hard for me to carry out my investigation whoever I thought I found any clues at all. But that wasn't all; hewn back to his old tricks of not allowing me to be capable of doing anything without his permission, not even buying food or other necessities. Ha had to knew about everything I needed, big or small as I had no choice but to turn to him fo revery little thing and he soon interfered with my duties with the Prince! But I knew he was doing is so he could get me fired from the palace. And soon; all those who I had come up against in my path in my previous jobs who tried to take me down over and over again soon became the man I was still in love with.

She quickly came around when I finally proved to her how serious I was. I knew she didn't need the money as I had more than enough for everyone that was in our circle, but I knew that being an idle housewife wasn't who she was either. She had a good work ethic and she wanted to keep it going, she even made me hire only a handful of servants including her friends that she still had no idea were on my payroll anyways. I still tasked her with the job of being with her as much as they could and inform me on every move she made, for I surely knew that if anything untoward happened to her she would keep it from me. My status had mostly improved hers in social circles but there were still her peers and workmates who continued to torment her in any way they could. But to make her at ease I sent her friends to hire her bullies to serve her at our home. Of course it was unusual for two people engaged to live together before marriage but this girl was so sly I was afraid she's run away again the minute I turned around again and I have had more than enough of her running away act.
So until we were properly wed, I planned on courting her in public... and to also end the roomers about herself and that Hyun-Ki guy that came with the trap that Hyo-Sonn set for them. Yeon was a very beautiful girl, the fact that she had heads turned from most men in the palace was already more than I could handle. I planned to rub it in both the princes faces; as I knew they would do everything to use her against Hwi, even going as far as making her their concubine. Thankfully, since I achieved my post in the palace, Bang-Won had hardly shown up so I was to make her mine before he could lay his lecherous eyes on her and take her from me. So I made a scene of bumping into her at the palace entrance for all to see and helping her pick up what items she had in her hand that she dropped. She just gave me an annoyed look, already aware of what I was doing but I just smirked in reply as I helped her up. She tried to turn away but I just held onto her tighter, warning her not to act up too much. I also privately touched her somewhere naughty, knowing that she would blush even after all this time so give this performance more effect. I kept talking to her as much as I could before offering to walk her to her post, amongst the fierce whispers of servants and royalty alike. I had received many marriage proposals since my promotion, and not a day wen by in the palace when a woman or a whole bunch of them would follow me around trying to attract my attention. Everyone was fully aware of her social status, and I feared she would be bullied because of this but I couldn't risk loosing her either, so I had a man or 2 watching her for me.
By the time I made it to my study the news of my dalliance had already spread like wildfire in the palace. All I had to do now was wait for prince Bang-Gan to confront me first before talking to the King about the marriage...and for Bang-Won to show up so I could start my investigation, there as no way I could start at this moment in case he was with Hwi and something went wrong, I couldn't risk it if he took the blame for any mistake that could happen, I couldn't risk loosing him again...
I managed to get some work in before deciding to see what she was up to for myself so I decided to take a leisurely stroll around the western courtyard, right in front of Bang-Gan's residence and sure enough I had the usual gaggle of girls follow me around and trying to approach me but once my eyes had landed on Yeon who was helping clear the snow away from the courtyard they all seemed to get irritated at the same time. They all started calling out to her and bullying her in my presence! But the look on my face stopped them in there tracks before I put a blanket on her without saying a word and just continued to watch her for a while much to their anger. It was a while before she realised and of course she met my gaze, she always did, no matter how busy she was. We stayed like that until the prince had come out and I left, but not before making sure that he caught a glimpse of me and heard those women gossiping.
