Chapter 164: Seo Yeon

Hyun-Ki was either extremely brave or foolish to knock on our door this late at night, especially when my husband was home. Luckily I had a servant run home to us and told us after dinner that Hyo-Sonn had broken all runs of conduct and actually had a man in her bed. When the man was identified, we just exchanged grins; a plan was already formulating between us without uttering a single word. My husband then suddenly announced that he would check the children's homework earlier than usual before retiring to bed. They all protested; they usually enjoyed the time they spent playing with him before their bedtime but he was unusually stern with them and promised them extra time tomorrow. He ushered them to his study while I chose to get ready early as well, completing all of my nighttime routine as I did so. There were only very few occasions since the time I gave myself to Seon-Ho were we were not intimate before bed and today was one of those occasions. He wasn't happy about it and he had made it clear whilst teasing my outfit but I was playful about it and I promised him that I would make up for it tomorrow, if the twins didn't tire him out that was. He snorted before accepting the challenge before turning around and falling asleep. I couldn't help but stare at him lovingly for a while before I embraced him from his back but he wasn't having any of it until I yielded a little to him.

I was just about to give into him when we heard our front door knocking non-stop, which put in in a bad mood already. I couldn't help but laugh at his predictability which he didn't appreciate before trying to get some sleep so I would have to deal with the guest alone. I pinched his face between my fingers and I planted a massive kiss on him before I clumsily readied myself to receive the unexpected guest myself. I could only guess who would be this bold at such a time...

....and I wasn't disappointed. I hadn't seem him in years and when I did it was only a handful of times of he hung around Hyo-Sonn and employed as both at his manor. I honestly wasn't expecting him to come and see me after he reunited with her after eventing that transpired between them. But to avoid any more drama I acted as if I couldn't recognise him at all "hello? Who...are you? And why are you knocking on my door so late at night?" The look on his face honestly disturbed me a little; he reacted as if I had just hurled him a lot in insults on the spot! His eyes widened and his hands were visibly shaking "you...you really don't remember me Yeonnie?" "Excuse me? Only my intimate friends call me that. It s 'Yeon' to everyone else" I seriously had no idea why he was here, we were expecting it to be Hyo-Sonn. "Mommy? What's going on?" I had a sleepy Hana call out for me from her room. "It's ok baby, go back to sleep" I called back to her before turning on him "listen I do not know who you are and you're disturbing my children. Please leave and call upon a more convenient time tomorrow" I wanted to get him the hell out of there quickly before my husband woke up. I tried to close the door on him but he wasn't having any of it "no! You don't understand! Listen to me..." he barged his way into the home but I waved the guards away, in case this incident led to what was planned anyways.

"How dare you? Who are you? Who do you think you are to make your way into my home? Do you know who owns this home?" I was trying not to wake up my children but I wished Seon-Ho would hurry up and get down here already. "No...you misunderstood my intentions Yeon...I'm Hyun-Ki? Do you remember me now? You worked in my manor giving out tuition before...before you got married? With your friend from work?" "Erm...I think so..." "don't you remember? All that time we used to spend in the market place together before and after work? We used to eat and study together? And fly kites?" "Fly kites? Oh I remember you now...and I never flew any kites with you. It was always me and her...so exactly what are you doing here now? This late?" "Listen...she told me everything. I know that we didn't get a chance to start off our relationship in the right way but..." "our relationship? What are you talking about? We barely spoke to each other?" I had to take a few steps back in case he tried reaching out for me, which he did. "No, you really don't understand...all the attention she tried to get from me it was meant for you! the...the gifts, the books I bought for you that she took from me that had notes in it...it was all fro you I swear!"

I had enough at this point as I ran towards him and slapped him so hard he fell to the ground "what the hell are you doing talking about lies like this? Are you delusional? I always left you and Hyo-Sonn alone together because you liked each other! You brought her gifts, you flew kites with her and you raised her hopes up by treating her kindly, you even gave her another source of income that she desperately needed when you hired her. What do I have to do with any of it?" His mouth hung open in disbelief and he looked like he was going to cry but I carried on to get him the hell out of there "do you have any idea what kind of misery and betrayal I have been subjected to because of you? She's made my life a living hell due to your baseless obsession with me? I am now a happily married woman with children. How dare you try to sow discord between myself and my husband! How dare you try to tear my family apart when my children could listen to everyone of your poisonous words? Leave! At once!"

He laughed at me incredulously as if I was no longer sane "are you serious? You're happily married? It's ok, I told you Hyo-Sonn told me everything. I know that psychopath of a man has been chasing you and he bound you to him by his power! He didn't even ask your permission for marriage he just dragged you to the wedding! And he made you her children for him? It's ok I know everything, and I'm here to rescue you from him! And your children! I'll take them as my own..."
