The outside air was chilly and as Briceus watched the view of the stars blotted about the skies, he allowed himself to smile with gratitude. It was his happiness that the frost had passed and away with it, the lingering sadness of the past. As he steered his gaze encourse the night's beam, he stopped to think, to wish upon a star. He'd gotten most of his silent wishes answered—the greatest of which was Elizabeth, now Victoria, whom he'd stolen back from the hands of that punk:Gabriel. But stealing her back was not exactly all that he'd done..

''Such a fine bride you made standing by my side today, Victoria..''

Briceus stared her in the eyes as he watched a pretty blush paint on the side of her cheek. The night's dim was certainly not enough force to deny him of such gracious sight. He was happy. He felt refreshed, enlivened and above all, the luckiest man alive.
