Assurance

As we arrived at the main door to our house, the maids lead us to the main hall and the two of us were separated by the maids.I was told by the maid to change into this attire that they handed me, I guess Luciell was also asked to change clothes since maids were also carrying some clothing, but why all the sudden? Why were we brought home together?

I have so many questions. It can't be that father is setting me up again with Luciell, but why would we even change clothes for each other? there must be someone who we have to dress up for.

The outfit that they gave me is a very formal one yet elegant, a dress. I was also given some pearls and earrings. Wow they really thought this outfit out for me I rarely have clothes that suits me and this one suits me so well.After appreciating the workers effort, I went back to my skeptical mode as to why are we being asked to change outfits.

I went back to the main hall and saw Luciell in a white suit, with a gold watch.It really suits him well not gonna lie, even the maids were staring at him, not going to blame them though because I was too haha."You look great Flare" Luciell complemented, "Thanks, you too as well, everybody sure is looking at you" I complemented him back.

What Flare didn't know that all the maids were actually looking at the two of them."This way please" the maid informed and lead us to the dining room.In the dining room there were two other people other than my father, It's seems like it's Luciell's parents! Ms.Vander and Mr.Vander, two of them are here!

"Sit down you both" father said, me and Luciell sat down and it seems like Luciell doesn't have any Idea whats going on too."Mom, Dad what are you both doing here?" Luciell asked."Oh Luciell we were invited by Mr.Edward here, thank you for the invitation" Ms. Vander and Mr. Vander smiled at my father."I know it's all a sudden but i have to hold this meeting right now since I have to go France next weekend" Father informed us, father is always busy and I''m not surprised he will go to France next weekend."So, lets start the meeting" father said, "Flare you will be marrying Luciell and that is final, if your worried that you won't have a comfortable life, don't be that is why Ms. Vander and Mr. Vander is here".I was shocked and before i could reply Ms vander then started talking "We are very happy to welcome you to our family"Ms. Vander faked a smile at me, I could tell.

I then inhale and replied "No thank you, you wont be need to welcome to your family since i wont be marrying your son" "Wha-what?" Ms. Vander stuttered "what is the problem dear, I think we can afford anything you want if you will marry our son, our financial status is greater than you think, you don't have to worry being distressed" Mr Vander replied, ughh they all think I only want money...shameless.
