Chapter sixteen

DAMON POV

"Where are we going?" She asked as she followed behind me.

"Somewhere to calm you down from my brother's tension." I said waving to one of the maids.

"Get me two champagne." I said and she nodded looking at Beyonce before walking away.

"Champagne?" She asked catching up with me.

"A little of time away from my annoying little brother." I said smiling.

We got to the back of the house, where Ramson had his swimming pool. I stood next to the pool and looked at her to see how amazed she was.

"Wow. I never knew he had something like this here." She said and I smiled looking at the pool again.

"Beautiful right?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yes. The lights are doing a very great job." She said smiling and I stared at her.

"Finally I made you smile. That's the make up I have always wanted." I said and the maid come from behind with two cups of champagne on a tray.

"Thanks." I said getting the two before facing Beyonce.

"Here. Have this." I said.

"No I don't think that is a good idea. Your brother would be so mad at me." She said moving back a little.

"Trust me, I can take care of my brother. Here, I am sure you haven't had anything to drink today." I said and she smiled reaching for it.

"Thank you Sir." She said and I laughed.

"It's Damon." I said and she looked at me as she sipped the drink.

"Calling you that is going to cause havoc." She said and I sighed.

"I understand. But that's when you call me that in front of him. It won't cause havoc when you say it when I am the only one around." I said and she nodded.

"I should head back now. I am feeling tired." She said and I furrowed my brows.

"Are you truly tired? Or you aren't comfortable been with me." I said and she sighed.

"Maybe the both. I just can't trust anyone from your family, not after what Ramson has done to me." She said and I nodded.

"I understand you perfectly Beyonce. But next time try looking at the bright side of people." I said sipping my drink again.

"Your brother has no bright side. All his sides are dark and evil." She said angrily.

"You can't be so sure. You would find out soon. And don't hate him,it's a waste of time because he doesn't care if you do." I said and she nodded.

"Welcome back home. I hope you enjoy your stay." She said walking away and I sighed sipping my drink. I looked at her as she left and turned to face the pool.

"Hey." I heard Ramson call walking up to me.

"Hi little brother." I said looking back and smiling widely.

"I saw Beyonce walk through that door few minutes ago. Why was she here?" He asked.

"Just a little chat, that's all. Why do you care?" I asked smiling.

"Of course I don't. She is mine, so I can know whatever I want to know okay?" He said looking away and I laughed.

"Ramson Salvatore, you are one bad a*s." I said gulping the last of my drink.

"Of course I am. And next time, you don't leave the party I arrange for you. Your guests are waiting." He said tapping my shoulders.

"I will be there in a sec." I said.

"One more thing, stay away from the hallway, so as to avoid your drink getting spilled." He said and I laughed.

"Or you mean, stay away from Beyonce's room door." I said grinning.

"That too." He said walking away, while I laughed shaking my head.

Little brother seems so protective of her.

MARY POV

I walked into Beyonce's room and I saw her sitting on the bed.

"Look who is here early." I said Smiling.

"Mary I am sorry. I had to leave the party early. Wasn't in a good mood at all." She said sighing as she laid on the bed.

"What Happened this time?" I asked smiling.

"Something very surprising but stupid. My Best friend was at the party an hour ago." She said looking at me.

"That's great new Bee. At least you got to see her again." I said and she shook her head.

"No it's a guy. And he came to get me out of here, right under Ramson's nose." She said and my mouth dropped open.

"Wow that's really brave and new." I said in shock.

"That was stupid. If I didn't send them away on time, Ramson would have killed them." She said.

"That's very true. But why didn't you grab the chance at first." I asked.

"Mary Raph is my best friend. If I acted selfish, he would have killed him, killed his accomplice, and killed you. And then I will be in this mansion again, worse than ever." She said and I sighed holding her hand.

"That was so generous of you. For think about me." I said and she smiled.

"You are the only friend I have in this hell Mary. I can't let you go because of my own freedom. I will never forgive myself, and Khai would never forgive me." She said and I kissed her hand smiling.

"We will get through this. I promise." I said.

"I know we will. But I am scared Raphael will come back here. He is very stubborn when it comes to me." She said and I sighed.

"We would make sure he doesn't." I said and she nodded.

"So how was it with Damon Salvatore?" I asked and I furrowed her brows.

"You saw that?" She asked and I nodded giggling.

"Look Mary, nothing happened okay? He is still Ramson's brother, the blood runs in the vein." She said and I nodded.

"I know that. But Damon is changed now. He was more evil than Ramson due to the records. But I guess someone found the bright side in him." I said.

"You heard that too?" She asked and I nodded.

"Was passing that moment, was tempted to wait." I said and she smiled.

"I don't think Ramson has a bright side." She said.

"Why are you so caring about both of us?" She asked.

"Seriously? Come on Mary. We both know that's a lie." She said.

"Trust me on this one. Let's get that side of him." I said and she kept staring at me.

"I am speechless." She said and I smiled.

"I don't expect you not to be." I said grinning.

"You should be with Khai now. I need to clear my head." She said breathing out heavily.

"Sure. Good night." I said standing up and then the door opened and Ramson walked in. Immediately I saw him, my heart jumped in fear, remembering that if Bee acts stupid then I am dead.

"I was just leaving." I said with my head bowed walking out of the room.

I ran to my own room and got in to see Khai waiting for me.

"Hey." He said kissing me.

"Hi." I said smiling.

"How did it go?" He asked as I sat on the bed.

"Well. But I don't feel good about this. She loves me." I said sadly and he held my hand.

"Mary she put you on a edge because she wanted to torture Ramson. I know she is your friend, but first things first. We need her to get to Ramson." He said.

"I know Khai. But it hurts to know we are using her against her own will." I said.

"Baby, we have been enslaved by Ramson for 6 good years. We never wanted this life Mary, we wanted to be happy, to live without having to be scared of someone. Ramson deprived us of this, he needs to suffer. And we will do everything to make him suffer before we gain our freedom." He said and I nodded kissing him.

"One more thing Khai. Someone tried to safe Beyonce today, her best friend she called Raph." I said.

"What? That is bad. She can't be saved. It will ruin our plans." He said and I nodded.

"I know, and that's why we are going to eradicate them. It's just painful that she may not see her best friend again." I said staring into space.
