Chapter nineteen

DAMON POV

The door opened revealing Ramson, looking fully prepared for work.

"Little brother is looking very handsome." I said and he scoffed.

"I am not in the mood Damon." He said and I sighed.

"Beyonce right." I said smiling.

"She wouldn't follow me to work." He said and I laughed.

"Why am I not surprised? Look here Ramson,you have made her life a living hell. She hates you, why would she ever follow you to your office." I said Smiling.

"I won't hurt her. I am just tryng to act cool and she is turning me down. It's sucks." He said angrily.

"You have to get used to her turning you down. Who knows, you can get to the office and screw her again." I said.

"I won't. I regret doing that to her in the first place." He said and I smiled.

"Now that's the brother I have been wanting for many years." I said and he scoffed.

"Don't even start." He said.

"Let me start. The human in you is finally surfacing, I should be happy for you." I said.

"Don't decieve yourself. I switched off that humanity years ago." He said walking to the door.

"Give her time. She will be yours." I said and he looked at me before walking out of the door.

"Good luck at work!" I yelled Happily.

I wore a casual clothing and walked out of the room heading to the living room. I saw some of the maids and I saw they were actually smiling.

The devil is out, I know that feeling.

"Good morning Master." They said as soon as they saw me.

"I am not your master. I am Damon, call me Damon." I said smiling.

"I don't think they will be able too. They are too scared of you and your brother." Beyonce said from behind me and the maids walked away.

"And you? Are you scared?" I asked facing her.

"Of course not." She said boldly and I arced my brows folding my arms.

"If that's the case, why did you turn down his offer this morning?" I asked staring at her.

"He told you that?" She asked and I nodded.

"He is my brother, he tells me everything. And mind you Ramson doesn't take no for an answer. You are one lucky girl." I said smiling.

"I said no because I hate him. Not because I am scared of him." She said and I smiled.

"We are progressing then. You confessing you hate someone Everytime doesn't actually mean you really hate that person. You are saying it because you don't want to believe you don't actually hate him like you pronounce." I said and she smriked.

"You wish. He ruined my life,took the most valuable thing in my life, took this people hostages, and you think I don't hate him. I hate him so much." She said and I could see the hatred in her eyes.

"That's good. At least you are not a lying backstabbing b**ch." I said Remembering my Ex.

"Are you okay?" She asked when she saw I was lost in thoughts.

"I am fine." I said coming back to reality.

"You looked hurt. What did she do to you?" She asked again.

"I am good Beyonce. I need to prepare for mother's arrival." I said walking away.

"You know you can always talk to me." She said and I stopped.

"You hate us. I can't talk to you." I said smiling.

"I hate your brother not you. I saw pain in your eyes, that means you felt something. But your brother, he has nothing to feel." She said.

"Ramson is feeling again thanks to you. Only you can help bring my brother out of the misery he is. Help him with that and I will talk to you. Tell you anything you want to know." I said and walked away.

BEYONCE POV

"What does he mean by I can help him with that?" I thought furrowing my brows.

"Hey Baby Girl." Mary said from behind me.

"Hey Mary." I said looking at her.

"It looked like you both had an heart to heart conversation." She said smiling and I laughed.

"Of course not. It's nothing." I said and she nodded.

"Okay then. Come help in the kitchen if you want to. The mother arrives in two hours." She said and I nodded Happily following her to the kitchen.

"What am I to do?" I asked as soon as we got to the kitchen.

"Go back to your room and rest. Annie what is she doing here?" One of the maids asked.

"Lexi, she is here to help." She replied.

"Did Master ask her to? You are putting us in danger." She said and I shook my head.

"This is all on me. I bear the consequences." I said.

"Of course you do. You know Master can't hurt you. You can't put us into trouble so please leave." She said and it seemed like the other maids supported her.

"Guys please be nice." Annie said and I shook my head.

"It's true Annie. I shouldn't be here. It's okay." I said smiling.

"No it's not. What are you going to do now?" She asked.

"Sit on the bed where I am supposed to be." I said walking out of the kitchen before she tries to stop me again.

I was on my way to the room, when one of Ramson's men stopped me.

"You have some visitors." He said and I narrowed my gaze.

"Visitors?" I asked and he walked away from my front. I headed back to the main door and opened it to see Raphael and Annie at the gate.

"Oh no." I said. Not because I wasn't happy to see them, but because their lives are at stake here. I ran to the gate and when he saw me he smiled.

"Hey Bee." I said.

"What are you doing here?" I asked in a whisper.

"I am here to get you Bee. I can't give up on you easily. I know the other time was a bad timing. But now is the best, Ramson isn't around. We would be long gone before he notices." He said happily.

"Raphael I appreciate this. But don't you get it, Ramson will hunt us down! He will kill us." I said and he nodded.

"I know, and that's why I am taking you out of this country. Both of us,to where he wouldn't find us." He said.

"What?" I asked in shock.

"Yes Bee. I love you and I can't let him keep hurting you. Please come with us." He said holding my hand.

I looked at his hand on mine and I looked at his face as he was smiling.

"I can't RAPH, I am sorry." I said getting his hands off me.

"What? Why? What's the excuse now?" Annie asked.

"My job isn't done here. I can't just run, putting everyone's life at risk. My best friend is still in there." I said.

"Are you serious right now? You should put yourself first. Don't you know if they see an opportunity like this, they would grab it and forget about you?" He asked.

"Mary would never do that to me. You should leave now Raph." I said moving back.

"You know when she told me you may actually like it here I didn't believe that. But now, you just showed me you like the way he tortures you with sex. You are a disappointment." He said angrily and tears rolled down my eyes.

"Get out!" I yelled.

"Of course I will. Just know you have lost a friend that is willing to do anything for you. You won't see my face again." He said and stormed out of the house.

I weeped out bitterly feeling so hurt.

"Why didn't I follow him??" I began to question myself. Now he hates me.

I walked into the mansion weeping Silently. The maids were busy so they didn't notice what had happened.

I passed through the kitchen, cleaning my eyes when my eyes caught something. Actually it was someone, putting something in a plate of food.

"What are you doing?" I asked walking into the kitchen.

"It's none of your business. Go to the room." She said.

"Lexi, are you trying to poison his mother?" I asked in shock.

"What else do you expect me to do? This is the only way of leaving this hell." She said.

"He will kill you." I said feeling devastated.

"I don't care,my life isn't making any sense anyway." She said putting the poison into the food.

"Stop!" I yelled.

"What is going on here?" One of the maids asked.

"She is trying to poison the woman." I said in shock.

"What? Lexi are you out of your mind?" She asked walking close to her.

"I am not. If you aren't ready to fight for your freedom. I am ready." She said showing no remorse at all.

"We all I fighting for our freedom dummy." She said before facing me.

"Please don't say anything to anyone about this." She said.

"But what of Lexi and the food?" I asked.

"I will take care of Lexi and dispose the food. She isn't in her right senses." She said and I sighed.

"Okay. Please make sure she doesn't eat that food. Infact, I want to be here when you dispose the food." I said and she nodded.

"I know this is a death sentence. I can't die now because I still have hope. I will dispose it. Lexi on the other hand will be punished." She said and I nodded looking at Lexi.
