It would be fun

"Are you sure that Maddie's coming? I know her and Annie's probably just wasting her time." said Ollie defeatedly, he would just cancel the entire picnic if this was not going to work and it seemed to be like that.

The last thing he wanted was for Maddie to have another reason to hate him the way she did. To be honest he was tired of trying to make her happy, tired of trying to make her accept him, he figured that maybe it was time that he let her be.

"Oh just relax dude, if there's anything I know, it's that Annie is just as stubborn as Maddie is and she's not going to take no for an answer, in fact they should be arriving in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1." said Matt counting down with his fingers when Annie and Maddie suddenly burst through the Castle doors.

"And we're here." said Annie as she and Maddie walked down the stairs. Maddie looked like she had been literally dragged over here, which she had been. If it was up to her, she would prefer to stay in the Castle eating and enjoying their final days here instead of going outdoors.

"Unfortunately." said Maddie with a frown.

"Don't mind her Ollie, let's get going." said Annie smiling brightly.

"Alright, if you say so, let's get going." said Ollie, he began to walk confusing Annie, Maddie and Matt.

"Aren't we going by carriage or something? I've agreed to come on this picnic, but I don't want to have to walk all the way over there, I'm not in the mood." said Maddie.

"When are you ever in the mood to be nice?" asked Matt as Maddie shot him a dirty glare.

"No, we're not taking the carriage, actually I thought that we could convey over there, it would be fun." said Ollie.

"That does sound fun." said Annie as she smiled.

"Ummm newsflash blondie, some of us aren't that skilled with conveying." said Maddie with a scoff. Was this blondie purposely trying to embarrass her or what? He knew that she couldn't convey and it made her feel so angry and sad that everyone else could and she couldn't.

She could not help but feel that Ollie knew that and still he wanted to embarrass her even more.

"Besides, we don't even know where you are taking us." she added. In all honesty, she was just looking for a valid excuse to wiggle herself out of this. If she somehow managed to discourage Ollie so much that he ended up cancelling the picnic himself, she would get her way and Annie wouldn't be able to be upset with her.

"I know that, you can just follow me and we'll go bit by bit." said Ollie as he disappeared in a flash and appeared a distance away.

"Come on, your turn." he shouted faintly from ahead.

"You heard the guy, let's go." said Matt as he followed in suit disappearing and appearing right beside Ollie in a flash.

"You can't be serious, what if I end up caught in a tree or something?" asked Maddie as Annie looked at her.

"I never knew that you could be so afraid, it's not like you to be afraid, I doubt anything like that will happen. Don't overthink it, just move." said Annie with a wink before she disappeared as well.

"Not cool, not cool at all you guys." shouted Maddie as Matt waved her over.

She groaned and shook her head, taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and just focused on where she wanted to be right now, which definitely wasn't over here.

"Please don't take me to a tree." she mumbled under her breath as with a glimmer she disappeared and appeared right next to Annie.

"Yayyyyyyyy, you did it!" said Annie excitedly as she enveloped Maddie with a hug.

"You finally did it, great." said Matt as he smiled.

"I knew you could do it." said Ollie as he smiled and Maddie cleared her throat trying to stifle a smile.

"Of course I did it, what did you expect." said Maddie smugly as Annie giggled and Matt shook his head, Ollie on the other hand just chuckled, it was typical of Maddie to say that.

"Now let's pick up the pace." he said vanishing from sight appearing further ahead.

"Right behind you." said Matt as he vanished as well.

"Same." replied Annie as she vanished as well and Maddie followed after.

As soon as she materialized Ollie and the others were gone already causing her to quicken her pace.

Flashes of glimmer and light appeared and disappeared laughing and giggling until they reached the edge of the forest and Ollie was nowhere to be found.

"Alright, we're going to make it a little bit harder." came Ollie's voice but they couldn't see him.

"You can't see me now, I'm in the forest, you have to convey to me without seeing me." he said.

"That's easy." said Matt as he vanished.

"Show off." shouted Maddie as she heard Matt chuckle.

"It feels do good to be good at something that you're not for a change." came Matt's voice as Maddie scoffed.

"Well it won't be like that for long." she shouted back as Annie faded away and Maddie did the same.

"Found you." said Maddie as she flicked Matt at the back of his head when she appeared behind him.

"Ouch, not necessary at all Maddie, not necessary." he replied rubbing the back of his head.

"You need a haircut, your hair looks so messy." she noted.

"Thanks for spreading the news." said Matt in annoyance.

"Oh, but now that she mentions it, she's right, your hair looks really messy, when last did you get a haircut?" asked Annie as she touched his hear, it was getting really long and messy.

Not that she didn't like it, she liked any hairstyle on him, but it was weird seeing him with such long hair.

"They are right dude, you do need a haircut, if you like I could recommend my barber to you." said Ollie.

"Thanks for the offer dude, but my mom usually cuts my hair, besides, I don't feel like chopping my hair off right now." said Matt as he frowned.

"Well that's alright Matt, should we carry on?" asked Ollie as Annie and Matt nodded.

"Great, it's not too far now." said Ollie vanishing as he spoke.

"And I'm gone." said Maddie as she disappeared with a smirk and winked at Matt who scoffed as he and Annie followed after.

They all conveyed one more time before appearing in a lush, green valley filled with many different colourful flowers, in the midst of the colourful flowers was a lovely picnic laid out in a picturesque setting.

"Welcome to our picnic." said Ollie proudly as he walked over to the picnic and sat down.

"This looks so good Ollie." said Annie happily as she rushed to sit down beside him.

"You really outdid yourself dude, this really looks good." said Matt as he smiled and sat down.

"Thanks Matt." said Ollie as he smiled.

"And thank you Annie, however, I did not do it myself, I had some help." said Ollie.

"Of course you didn't typical of a pampered, blondie prince like you." said Maddie judgmentally as Annie shot her a dirty glare that read 'you better come and sit your butt down.'

Maddie reluctantly walked to the picnic blanket and sat down beside Annie.

"You really could have done better blondie." said Maddie judgmentally as Matt shook his head and facepalmed, Maddie could not even try to be nice, not even for a moment.

"I know that, but this was last minute, I kept on contemplating on cancelling it or not." said Ollie.

"Don't mind her Ollie, so tell me what's inside that pretty little basket over there." said Annie as she pointed.

"Well it's some fruits, snacks and dessert." replied Ollie.

"That sounds nice, let's dig in." said Annie.

"We will, but first there's something really amazing I need to show you." said Ollie as he stood up.

"Now what's that?" asked Maddie annoyed, at least she could look forward to the food since she was starting to feel really hungry, but now the blondie was talking about something else that didn't concern food.

"This valley isn't just an ordinary valley." said Ollie.

"How do you mean?" asked Matt.

"This is the valley of dancing flowers." said Ollie happily.

"Dancing flowers?" asked Matt, Annie and Maddie in a chorus.

"Yes." replied Ollie as he nodded.

"Dancing as in...?" asked Annie.

"They dance. When you dance a little bit, they reciprocate your moves and dance on their own." said Ollie.

"Now that sounds impossible, I can believe a lot of magical things, but not this one blondie, just shut it, sit down so we can eat." said Maddie.

"Oh but I'm serious Maddie, these flowers actually dance, I'll show you." said Ollie not upset.

"You just do a little dance, any dance at all and they will respond with a dance of their own." said Ollie as he moved at what Maddie thought was a sorry attempt at dancing, he looked like he had two left feet.

Annie on the other hand just giggled interested to see what was going to happen. This had been the first time she had seen Ollie dance, and she had to admit he did look rather silly.

"Wow, bravo, and the award for the worst dancer in the entire realm goes to Oliver." said Maddie sarcastically. Matt laughed loudly, he couldn't help himself, he had to admit, Ollie had many talents, but dancing was not one of them.

"Oh haha Maddie, just be quiet and watch." said Ollie.

"I don't see anything happening." said Maddie.

"Wait for it, 3... 2... 1." counted Ollie and in the same moment the once still dormant flowers began to move, their delicate little petals bopping along to a quiet, soft mellifluous sound.

Their beautiful, coulourful petals moved around mesmerizingly, tiny fulgent lights shining around them. The dance was hypnotic, neither Annie, Maddie or Matt could tear their eyes off the amusing display.

Inversely Ollie watched the immersed looks on their faces and chuckled to himself. He loved showing them new things. Strange things that they had never seen before but he had grown up with. He loved to share, they were his friends and he wanted them to know more about him and his world.

"I told you so." he declared proudly as the enchanting dance ended snapping them all out of their dazes.

"Okay, you did, that was enchanting really." admitted Annie.

"Yep, you were right dude, I did not expect that at all." said Matt.

"I am glad that you agree." said Ollie smiling his eyes turning towards Maddie who quickly removed the interested gaze she had as soon as she saw Ollie.

"It wasn't that good, when you said that they danced I thought you meant that their roots would form feet and they will jump out of the ground and actually dance." Maddie stated contemptuously. Matt and Annie groaned while Ollie narrowed his eyes at her while she just smiled smugly.

There was no way that she was going to admit to the fact that the dance was actually really cute and interesting, she would rather be buried alive than admit that he was right.

"I'm sure that you did hear me say that respond to the manner in which you dance." said Ollie.

"I just did a little dance to demonstrate, now if you really want to see what you just described, be my guest and show us what you got." declared Ollie with a smile.

Annie and Matt both laughed, Ollie was giving Maddie a taste of her own medicine and they were very glad to be watching the entire ordeal unfold.

"Oh, no way, you're not getting me to make a fool of myself in front of you blondie." replied Maddie.

"Oh, but that's not the case at all, you're Maddie Wolf, basically good at anything and everything, I'm sure that you're good at dancing as well, why don't you grace us with your elegant moves." said Ollie smiling brightly.

"Yes Maddie, he's right though you're a good dancer, I'm sure you'll make the flowers dance even more beautifully than they just did." urged Annie with the moving of her eyebrows up and down. She truly wanted to see Maddie dance and admit that Ollie was right for once.

"Yes Maddie, why are you afraid of dancing for the flowers?" joked Matt.

"Oh you three just stop, you're not going to convince me at all. I'm not dancing for any of you. So let's move on to something else." concluded Maddie, she did not want to dance at all and that was final.

"Okay, well at least I know that I'm right." said Ollie. Maddie scoffed, she hated seeing him looking so smug.

"Anyway, on to the next thing. Before we sit and eat, I think we should be a little active, how about a game of hide and seek in the valley?" asked Ollie.

"Yes!" exclaimed Matt and Annie.

"No!" shouted Maddie.

"No way, I don't want to play hide and seek, no, what are we, three? We are older than that." said Maddie.

"You're no fun Maddie, no fun." Annie said shaking her head in disappointment.

"That's no problem at all. I want us all to be involved. If you said no to hide and seek how about we play circumjice?" he asked.

"Circumjice?" they all asked confused.

"It's the witch equivalent of what you guys call catch." said Ollie.

"You just throw this glass ball to each other and whoever drops it first gets soaked in water, it's harmless fun." explained Ollie, a small, green glass ball materializing in his right hand as he spoke.

Maddie was about to complain again, but one look at Annie's face showed her that if she dared open her mouth to argue she wouldn't use it again.

"Yes, that sounds fun Ollie, we are all going to play, every single one of us." said Annie specifically referring to some blonde haired girl in particular.

"Great. Let's start." said Ollie as he quickly threw the ball to Matt who caught it easily then he ran away.

Annie giggled as Matt threw it to her and ran in the opposite direction.

"Are we playing tag or catch?" asked Maddie in annoyance.

"I would like to believe it's a mix of both." said Annie as she threw the ball to Maddie who almost dropped it.

"You almost made me drop it!!" shouted Maddie but Annie was already long gone.

"Isn't that a good thing? The sooner the ball drops the faster we end the game which is what you want." shouted Matt.

"Of course I want that, but I'm not going to be the one to drop the ball first." Maddie replied as she stood up.

Sure she didn't want to be playing this stupid game like they were all five year old children, however, she was also very competitive and she would never want to be the loser for no reason at all.

Maddie narrowed her eyes looking around for her new victim, and naturally her eyes landed on Ollie.

She smiled vindictively, there was no way she was going to allow him catch it. She would deliberately throw it annoyingly.

"Heads up blondie" she said after she had thrown it. The ball wobbled flew towards Ollie. It was clear that is was purposely thrown badly. But it was no problem for Ollie at all he caught it easily to Maddie's dismay.

"Stop purposely aiming for Ollie, I see you Maddie." warned Annie as Maddie scoffed and ignored her.

Ollie threw it to Annie who had to jump to catch it, it almost slipped out of her hands.

"That was a really good throw, I almost dropped it." she laughed.

"Sorry, I threw it too hard." said Ollie as he laughed.

"It's alright." replied Annie, she threw the ball to Maddie who caught it easily. She in turn threw it to Matt who caught it instantly.

"Ugh, this game is so boring." said Maddie.

"We'll see about that." said Matt under his breath.

He threw the ball strongly at Maddie who attempted to catch it but it was so fast it slipped through her hands.

"*Ouch*" she exclaimed as the ball escaped her hands and was about to drop on the ground when she cheated and raised a platform from the ground to catch it instead.

"Oh come on! That's cheating!" said Matt.

"No it's not! What's cheating is the fact that you're trying to burn my beautiful hands!!" shouted Maddie as she showed her hands. Her palms were red from the burns.

"Matt, that was too strong of a throw." admitted Annie.

"But Maddie, you did cheat, right Ollie?" asked Annie as she looked at Ollie.

"Technically it isn't cheating. All I said was that the ball shouldn't hit the ground when it's thrown to you, so whatever means you use to catch it doesn't matter." said Ollie.

"You see!! Aha, na, na, na." said Maddie smugly as she stuck her tongue out at Matt who scoffed.

"How are your hands?" asked Ollie.

"Their alright, they are already healing." Maddie responded as she walked to pick up the ball and the platform disappeared.

"Wait, wait, wait, before we start again, we need to lay down some rules, because I can see that evil glint in Maddie's eyes." said Matt narrowing his eyes at Maddie, he knew her well and she was coming for revenge.

"You're right about that, Ollie we need some ground rules." said Annie.

"Alright, no using magic to harm others and that includes no casting spells on the ball." said Ollie as Maddie groaned.

"Alright fineeee." said Maddie.

"And you can do anything possible to stop the ball from falling when it is thrown to you." said Ollie.

"Okay, that's enough rules blondie." said Maddie as she thew the ball to him.

"Okay then."
