Liam Rothschild, being an over achiever all his life, never really looked down as to who was below him. That not only increased his way of living later on as the head of the Magic tower but also made him quite some enemies.

And Henry, the king and the boss whom be was working for , was one of the worst kings when it came to personality and getting jealous of people who excelled and were ahead of him in regards with skills.

He usually used to put on a face to appreciate them and also rewarded the people like artists and magicians of the kingdom in big and pompous ceremonies, but the people who were supremely skilled and worked closed with him were always the targets of his trickery and malicious pranks.

And one of the victims of that was Liam. He never really liked Liam since he was the second most powerful person along with Deborah when it came to magic powers and thus he played a really dirty trick.
