Chapter 19

It was quite, so quite that it made Nina got up from her bed and barged outside to look for something. Just anything to relive her of the loneliness that she was feeling, after a really long time she had finally accepted her loneliness but she was a nine hundred years old and a vampire with heightened feelings, which over the ages she had tried to control them.

As she always says "Nothing that a glass of whiskey won't fix it" and that night she walked downstairs for it. For a glass of whiskey. Regina and Amiya were sleeping each to her own room, and just how quiet it was Nina knew Hawaii and Alice weren't inside the house.

She poured herself a glass of whiskey and retired to a couch. There was a book beside the couch, and although it was dark since they had turned off all the lights there was however a lighting candle that was still burning and it was just close to the couch. Nina devour into the whiskey and opened one page of the book, it was Shakespeare and very old. She remembered buying it across the streets of Vienna in those days Shakespeare was a hit and every household had his peace of writings.

She lingered to it, page after page, reading about the romance that she knew she would never have but still yearned for it. A quick lightning and a sound of a wolf shook her up, she quickly stood up and dropped the book. "Who's there?" She called out but no one answered.

Her senses were all over the place, she knew something was wrong and indeed there was someone inside, when she looked at the sky the moon was as full and as bright. Then she remembered it was a full moon, and quickly took off upstairs to Amiya room.

"Miya! Miya wake up!" She shook Amiya until she woke up.

"What is it?"

"Werewolves"

"What?"

"They are inside my house. Wake up" Nina insisted and then she walked out of the room and onto another, Regina's. Who unexpectedly she found her not sleeping at all.

"What is it?" Regina asked.

"Wolves!"

"Wolves?"

"They are inside, freaking werewolves"

Regina didn't even need anymore explanation and she got up, took Nina's hand and they all gathered inside Amiya's room. Then they heard growls, what turned out to be a one growl grew to multiples.

"There are many wolves..." Amiya said.

"They are here to kill. I can sense them" Regina added

"So, how do we stop them? One bite and I'm dead" Nina said just to remind her friend what was at stake. She was afraid, as she had always been of a werewolf in full moon.

"If there are here to kill, we can take them"

"By spells?"

"Yes Amiya" Regina said and she continued explaining "I'm going down, I'll lead them away. You stay with Nina and make sure she doesn't go outside, they are faster and they'll catch her"

"Okay, just be...safe out there" Nina said and then she and Amiya locked themselves inside.

The werewolves had already surrounded the whole house, Simon was outside barking loudly while Miraj and the other two surveyed the whole living room. They were angry with only one things in mind, and that's revenge for Cullen.

Regina came down slowly, she didn't see any wolf in the drawing room, her heart was racing. She was clearly panicking and afraid but she knew she had to do it.

"Okay boys, let's dance" She said and that's when Miraj and those two wolves showed up angry and determined to kill.

They barked and growled at her, Regina took a step back but quickly gained her posture. "What do you want?" She asked and they still barked at her.

The barks grew louder and louder which had Nina freaking out inside. Two wolves were chasing Regina whilst Miraj stayed behind and she started to make her way upstairs running and sniffing for any smell of a vampire inside any room.

She got close to the room which Nina was inside and had a scent. She had just passed but had to make a turn back, moved close to the door and surveyed further. The vampire scent was strong and she started banging on the door hard, Regina couldn't help since she had a problem of her own.

Miraj banged on the door, pushing it roughly and scratching it wanting it to break. Amiya knew better that spells don't work on wolves, they resist it and heal faster than vampires. She looked at Nina "We need to leave or they'll kill us" she said and Nina nodded. They opened the window and just when they fled, Miraj had broken inside already and looking for them but there were nowhere to be seen. She jumped outside using the window and ran after them.

Nina's vampire speed was no match for a werewolf in a full moon, and Regina knew better that's why she suggested Nina stayed hidden before their plan had backfired. That particular moment nothing mattered to Nina than her own life, she took off running wildly. Miraj, Simon and others took off chasing her.

Through wild thickets of bushes and thorns, none of the wolves gave up. They chased her all through the night into wild, leaving Amiya and Regina not knowing what to do.

"We should go after her" said Regina.

"Yes, I know but where? She must be half across town now"

"Does it matter"

Amiya dropped down on the ground panting and trying to catch her breath "They knew she was here. These aren't just random wolves"

"That much I figured"

Hawaii appeared with Alice driving towards the house. They saw Amiya and Regina sitting on the porch, looking loss and something really was wrong at that moment.

"What's going on with them?" Alice asked.

"Well, I don't know but it's ought not to be good"

They packed and Hawaii got out first and run to them. "What is it?" He asked.

"Werewolves"

"What? Where's Nina?"

He didn't get an answer from them and his facial expression changed in seconds. He had already envision the worst, he took a step back "Where did she go?"

"North, they are chasing after her. But..." Said Regina and as she expected Hawaii vanished in seconds running after Nina.

Alice turned to Amiya and Regina, she had no idea what was going on and they filled her with the details. She joined them on the porch waiting for her boyfriend to return, in pieces perhaps and she was anxiously afraid of what to expect.

It was close to 3:30 am, and Nina had other two hours before the wolves can turn back to their usual forms and she was tired and left out with nowhere to hide. As she slowed down, the wolves showed no sign of slowing down or whatsoever. They were determined to kill her, and as the deep darkness prevails, she fell when she encountered a log.

That's when they surrounded her, and she had nowhere to go. Breathing heavily and almost giving up, she closed her eyes knowing she can't move anymore as the wolves shortened the distance. They had their tongues out, growling as they got closer. She stood steady, looking at her back and forth.

"Let her go!" Shouted Hawaii panting heavily looking at how the wolves have surrounded Nina.

"She killed Cullen. I will take pleasure in killing her" Miraj spoke, in her wolf state and that's something neither Hawaii nor Nina once experienced before. A talking wolf.

"Listen none of us killed Cullen. Okay, he was my best friend, he died of natural causes"

"You are a stupid vampire if you believe that" She said Miraj and growled back at Nina wanting to desperately bite her.

"Then kill me! I did it"

"Hawaii, no..." Nina shouted.

"I did it, I killed that motherfucker. What you gon do about it huh! Huh doggy..."

Miraj barked at him and she chased him, but he was fast and she knew she had to keep up. Simon and others didn't know what to do after seeing their alpha taking off, when they grabbed their attention to Nina, she was nowhere. They took off to find her.

Anger and constant need of vengeance played tricks on Miraj and she fell into Hawaii's trap. He played her and it was like a dog chase play and Miraj was the pet. When she came to realize, it was too late and he had brought her straight back to Nina's house in the basement and locked her there. "We'll talk in the morning" He said as he left with the key and the sun had rose.

When Hawaii barged inside the house, Alice was in the drawing room and she rushed to him and embraced him in a hug. Amiya and Regina were dozing off.

"What happened are you alright?" She asked.

"Yeah"

"You didn't...get bitten?"

"They missed"

"Where's she?"

"Probably on her way here, it wouldn't take long"

Alice sighed for a bit and looked around, she then whispered "I can't sleep"

"Well, neither of us can after being ambushed by wolves"

"It's not that Hawaii. I can't"

She was serious, he took her hand and walked with her to his room. When he locked it, they both went to the toilet where he opened the tap so as to obscure their conversations. "What do you mean you can't"

"I'm not tired and it's not normal. Is that a vampire thing, never to sleep"

"No. I slept through my whole first fifty years of being a vampire. I didn't do anything, just feed and sleep"

"Then what's this?"

"Well, this is new but let's give it a day or two okay. To just...test it out"

"Okay" she said and they remained silent looking at one other with the big secret in hand.

The door to the front opened and Nina walked in, tired and overly exhausted from all the running she did the whole night. Amiya woke up and she raced to hug her, she took her to her room upstairs and Regina joined them.

"She's here" Hawaii said

"Yes she's here"

"We should..."

"Yeah I know but, just a moment. When you were out there tonight and I...I thought you were gonna die. I..."

He stopped her with a kiss "Hey, I'm not going to leave you"

"I know but at that moment...I panicked. I love you Julian"

That moment she called Hawaii by his real name, and kissed him Alice knew her life was going to change or had it already changed and she was just embracing it. The vampire gene heightened her feelings towards him, and she had the courage to speak it up without hesitation of what she feels. He kissed her back with urge and carried her in his arms.

They emptied the table and he took off his shirt, she bit his neck which sort of turned him and they resumed the kisses. He carried her again onto the bed, took off his trousers as she stripped her clothes off. She wanted him, he wanted her and their feelings were all over each other.

He took his manhood and inserted it inside Alice as she moaned and so did he. With thrust and lust, he got in and out moaning with every stroke holding Alice in his arms. The sex was better, and more enjoyable than before. They bit each other when the feelings were high. She scratched his back with her nails, as he dig deep and just when she was about to reach orgasm Alice scratched him harder to the point the nails were too deep and he bled on the back.

Hawaii didn't mind a little scratch and he continued until he reached climax himself. And then, he fell on the other side of the bed both breathing and they looked at each other and laugh.
